Sick girl

What's wrong with this girl? She's a clone from an unknown source. Unknown strain. My wife did not do a good job of tending it (she brought it from a friend but again, no details) She is looking ill, but I'm too much of a newb to really tell. I think I did right, getting her into good soil, good, ph-tested water (48 hours in the bucket, so no chlorine) a pot large enough to hold her until my soil is cooked and the clones go into smartpots. This girl is the only clone I have, to date. When I transplanted, I removed as much of the rockwool as I could without harming the roots. I also snipped off dead leaves. The white on the soil is diatomaceous earth, to mangle critters.

To answer the following mandatory questions:
  • She's outdoors
  • Just started watering, probably every two days until she's stabilized. Wife over-watered.
  • Soil is straight Patio Plus but again, just started. Unknown soil before transplanting...had perlite in it
  • Young vegetative state.
She's a lot better than yesterday, more horizontal to the leaves. Photo was taken an hour ago. They're even more horizontal, now.

So, Bones, what's wrong with her?

she's seen no love, if she was here I'd put her out of her misery and begin again
I like a challenge. Besides, you should have seen her yesterday. The improvement is fairly remarkable. I'm just hoping someone recognizes something more specific.

The fact she's still making leaves is encouraging, to me. Having her here motivates me to get off my ass and do dis shit.

to fix this you will need to reveg indoors under longer light exposure until she recovers in vegetative state before flowering again, or betteryet grab some cuts off of it and start them new with all they need

I have no facilities for indoor growing. Outdoor or nothing. No capital (and I mean NONE) to acquire indoor growing gear. She's in the sun 13 hours a day, right now and the days are still getting longer.

You pretty much answered your own question in the 2nd sentence. Clone from unknown source... you were asking for trouble.:wall: Find a RELIABLE SOURCE for clones or seeds. Preferably seeds from what I've learned ( avoid unnecessary problems) Good luck

I paid nothing for her, and I see her as a no-risk test case. Can this utter novice nurse her back to health? The resources required are minimal, and if she doesn't make it, I can say I tried, and I learned much from the experience. I'm getting educated...I want my Afghani clones I'm getting to get a better start.

I believe she came from Elemental in Oakland and they have Dark Heart Nursery clones, but I have no way to confirm.

Clones can have infestations and a host of other issues then bring all of those issues into your growing environment. I seriously suggest you know the source or problems like the one you're facing could just be the beginning. I've bought a couple from Midnight Farms ( with no problems) but I don't wanna invite any so.... I'll be strictly seeds after my current grow is done.

I will have a loupe in a day or two, and will inspect for pests. She's not in the greenhouse and won't be until I'm sure she's not infested. I think she's mostly underfed and over-watered. The fact she's still alive is what motivates me to try. That and the learning experience. If I can't confirm she's pest-free, she will stay outside in a 30-gal smart pot. Afghani clones will be from Sacramento Strainbank.
