sick plant

does anyone know what's wrong with this plant? i had the same problem before and they died within a couple weeks.

looks like too much nutes or a watering problem or a lighting problem give details please. how much? what kind of nutes are you using? how often are you watering? what kind of lights are you using? could be a nute defeciancy

it hasn't been on any nutes. watering every 4-5 days. lighting is not an issue.

how close are your lights...what's your soil pH?

no lights, outdoor. soil ph is slightly acidic. why does no one have cut and dry answers on this site? i had this same problem a month ago and no one knew what it was.

ph: 6.5 about
outdoors: so-cal
watering: 4-5 days
nutrients: power plant 3 mL/2 L every watering

If it hasn't had any nutes, then maybe that is the problem it needs some..

if you give the right information u may get a better answer

I think what everyone is trying to say is that a plants problems may be due to numerous factors and we need to know other factors such as your nutrients, light, soil conditions for example to be able to eliminate confounding factors and try and give you a more definite answer. I had the same problem and I'm in socal also. I would be willing to be that you are using Fox Farms Organic soil. That's why the no nutes yet?

First:
Do you have little tiny flying bugs hangin' around your plants and particularly your soil? They don't start out flying, but crawling on the soil. Those are gnats and for some reason they grow like crazy in that fox farms stuff and it seems we have a shit ton of them in socal. my buddy grew at the same time as me, different setup, different strains, no interaction between his and mine, had the same gnats. Check out for them, and kill'em.


Second:
The FoxFarms organic mix does not have enough Nitrogen in it. When the plants get to be about 4 weeks old they run out. They will continue to yellow and die and won't make it through flowering very well. Add Bat Guano if you are using organics. Mexican Bat Guano is what was suggested to me. It helped me keep them alive long enough to harvest, but they didn't look good at the end. Still defiicient on nitrogen.

Make sure that you pump them up really well with Nitrogen and they should bounce back. Now you have to be careful because they are loaded with other nutes and easy to burn them trying to get enough nitrogen in there. That's why I stayed away from that soil this time.

i've been using nutrients. maybe i should put it on a more strict schedule. btw, how important is flushing? i think that may play at least a small part in my sick plant. what exactly is bat guano and how is it used? and where is everyone getting that i'm not using nutes?

i used some shit called orchid mix. i hastily decided to use that shit cuz it said it was slightly acidic. probably a poor choice in hindsight.

I would say flush, add soil, flush, strict nutrient regiment. I find that if I don't plan out my nutrient doses it's hard to get it right. I suppose that's why I dig hydro so much, I know my nutrients are at 1050 ppm right now. What are yours at? It's really going to take you more experience and more trial/error to get down exactly how much nutrient to use and all the other environmental variables. It definitely looks like a nut. deficiency OR rootbound.
