Sick Strawberry Cough Seedling - Help!!

Would appreciate views on what is wrong with my little girl. She is a Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough - feminised, 16 days from germination. I believe that she is overwatered and have stopped watering until she starts reaching for the lights.

What I need to figure out is why the leaves are browning and turning yellow/green. Is it time to add nutrients to the reservoir when I begin watering again?

I have a Passion Seeds Dutch Dragon - feminised, the same age and she doesn't look as bad.

They are in a homemade hydro drip system under 2 ft. 4 bulb New wave T5's 24/7. Room temperature is always 72 to 76 degrees. Use 5.8 ph'd tap water that has aired. The plants are in presoaked rockwool in hydroton pellets in 3.5 inch net pots. The water level in the reservoir is 2-3 inches below the bottom of the pots and has a 4 ft. air wand.

All help and comments greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Below are the pics of the Paradise Seeds Dutch Dragon - feminised that looks overwatered and beginning to yellow a little. Not as bad as the SC yet.

I am drying the rockwool by air to help the overwatering and think that I need to start nutrients when I start watering again. I have the GH Flora Series.. Micro, Grow & Bloom.

Are the leaves overwater or nutrient deficiency?

New grower. Read a lot, but no grows. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I'm just as new as you, but it looks like what I did to my first plants and that would be nute burn... you can see the leaves turning yellow on the edges... I am doing soil, but it looks like exactly what my plants did...

add the nutes man. how long do you run your drip, try something like 15 minutes every 2 hours or 20 minutes every two hours, or 10 minutes every hour, just test and check how the plants like it.

Thanks for the look and info ettubrutus. I know that it looks like nute burn, from all of the sick plant pictures I've looked at but can't be.. I haven't added any nutes to these yet. The only nutes are the diluted Ph'd rooting solution the rockwool was soaked in 2+ weeks ago.

Took ph and ppm readings this am with Hanna Combo meter - Ph=5.72 and ppm=0. I set my tap water out to air for several days. I get a reading of 4 ppm for plain tap water.

Good luck with your nute burn. I think that I need to add nutes at low levels to see if she responds.

But, and someone correct my if I'm wrong. Since you're not growing in soil (where low levels of nutes are already present), you need to add nutes from the early beginning. Even seedlings need a little food.

Thanks man, I've got no experience with the hydro but learn a lot talking about this stuff, good luck, I'll be watching...

roots are getting to much water---you could add h202 to the res as long as your not using benif/enz/fung. you could change the water res cycle. If your just starting your nuts start with like 400-600 ppm full spectrum balanced nuts increase 50ppm per week as long as there are no signs of nute burn--if on the other hand after a couple of weeks the plants are showing signs of under fert nuts increase 100ppm per week. If your plant doesn"t respond in one week---get a plastic tupperware bowl that is larger than your net pot--put the pot in tupperware and fill with h202 soul at 5.5-5.8 ph---NO NUTS--put an airstone in the tupperware--the plant should respond within days---after recovery got back to your lessened water sched. hope this helps...

Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind for future projects, if the need arises.

I didn't have to use H2O2 this time. The girls turned out ok so far. Pics are at 5 weeks of flowering. Strawberry Cough is the tall one on the left.
