Signs of overwatering?

First time grower here,
Is it normal for a sprouts new leaves to curl downward and twist a little bit? I thought it might have been from too much air from the fan so I turned my intake off. But now I think it’s probably from over watering it.

also it kind of looks like one leaf is growing better than the other? Why is that?

It is normal for them to do that, and I have seen them look even worse, but its hard to tell if it's over watered. The soil does look very wet for a seedling that size so I would just refrain from giving it any water for at least 3 days. If it starts to go a little limp before then, then give it just enough to satisfy it.

A ml of water every day or 2 is plenty for now. Let it dry out between waterings. Better yet, put a clear dome over it and mist inside the dome a couple of times a day. I pop bottle cut in half works fine.

Probably, considering how soaked the soil looks in the picture, and the seedling appears like it's on the verge of dampening off.
If the stem shrivels up + the seedling folds over it's from dampening off.

You don't need to raise humidity when it's overwatered already...
I wouldn't water it every day unless it dries out every day, I water once every 2-3 days.

So with you guys confirming it is over watering I changed a few things to try to reverse it

1.) I cut holes in the sides of the cup to try to dry out faster
2.) took my old exhaust (120mm adjustable speed case fan) and aimed it at the solo cup pot to get more airflow into soil
3.) put a cover over my plant to prevent windburn / retain the humidity to the plant.

If the plant shows recovery Should I put it back in a cup with normal drainage?

can you let me know if this is a waste of time or good idea?

I’d remove the fan and the dome. Unless it’s dripping every-time you pick it up then it should be fine. Just let it naturally dry back out. Patience is a virtue when it comes to growing cannabis.

Like Kindnug said, I wouldn't dome it until your soil has dried out. Cannabis needs wet / dry cycles and won't tolerate wet soil for very long.

You can resume the dome and misting I suggested after you get her squared away properly.

Thanks, I removed the fan and dome. The soil feels much dryer to the touch already. However I’m going to wait and see what the leaves do before I make any other changes.

first grow so Im making a few errors:confused:

What would you say the chances of survival are?

what are signs of being on the verge of damping? VS. Just beginning
