1. you drive, rather than walk to the store that is 1 block from your house
2. you don't like getting rained on
3. you think walking barefoot is gross
4. you think food without salt or sugar taste bad
5. you vote republican
6. the word god or other words offend you
7. you get pissed when somebody cuts you off... even though you are driving in your new ford explorer while listening to the new eminem album
8. you judge other people
9. you get married

I don'tknow the answers to these questions... BUt to me.. marriage seems FAKE...

fake is ok... fake is great... supermanis great.. dragons are great.. muppets are great... but we enjoy these things and don;t confuse them with real..

marriage on the otherhand is TAKEN as REAL... when as far as I can tell... it is not... and somehow, it causes a lot of conflict..

so when somebody gets MARRIED... they are stepping into something... an idea... they are sharing an idea with somebody... and of course, no 2 ideas are the same... and then a lesson or an oppurtunity for a lesson arises...

wow i agree totally! marriage is a joke. i have never married nor will i ever marry (is it merry or marry? i cant think right now lol.) anyway like garden knowm was saying people go into marriage with a different idea of what marriage is and how can marry someone and expect to be with them forever? people change, its enevitable. most marriages dont last and when they do fail what ends up happening? someone gets screwed over and ends up regretting it for a long time. if you love someone and want to be with someone why cant you just be with that person? why do you have to get "married"?

yes i am married. mr knowm i agree with you. we both have two different versions of what we want. but maybe in time we grow together to become one soul. ah fuk it your right marriage is my downfall lol.

i agree about the marriage thing completely. it's just more stupid paperwork, more archaic traditions controlling modern culture. it says more of a relationship if it stands the test of time without forced labels and responsibility

Do you even know what you're saying? Who LIKES rush hour? Wait for 3 days to call WHOS number? How does it say more of a relationship if it "withstands the test of time without forced labels of responsibility?" I think it says more of a relationship to trust someone with 50% of all of your stuff, trust your credit rating with them, trust them with all of your most secret details.........

I will have to desagree with you on this one Knowm, however I am open to discuss this further, the following thoughts arose from my own experience, or lessons...Well first of all, is our discussion real?Somewhat I guess, it is the exchange of ideas that seem real or true to me and you...Can 2 ideas be simillar? Sure, maybe not axactly same but close...Can two people share and aggree with those beliefs and ideas? Can they have similar goals?I think so... When I met my wife we both realised that we share similar beliefs and goals...NOT SAME , similar...It was and still is fun to share this lifetime with her and yes there are plenty of lessons to be learned, mostly in humility, compromise and compassion...We really never wanted to be married ,but douring her first pregnancy she had a hormonal freak out and all of a sudden she wanted to get married (she calls her self a recovering catholic sometimes LOL) married or not really made no difference to me so 2 days later we were married...Didnt change anything, we laugh about it still...She is a person on the spiritual path and so am I, we still traveling our own roads, learning and teaching each other along the way...I belive there are many misconceptions about marrige...Mariage has nothing to do with money or posessions, to me, the partnersship is real ,the house , cars, money not so much...If the partnership ends, fook it, she can keep it all, I will actually feel lighter without it... Marriage has nothing to do with monogomy or jealousy, no one owns anyone...If she or I need to experience a person or a situation, we should be able to...(an idea t0 be honest that I brought in to this partnership, however I was promissed a threesome so we will see)Is there trouth about marriage? as for now... please excuse me if it came across as if I were saying.. driving is bad or marriage is bad.. these may just be signs..

If you fire up your 2$00,000 porche and go 130mph to the store 3 blocks away, you can still be connected to the source..


and i was not saying anything bad about marriage... YET I do also see ths as a potential.... a sign... BuT nothing definite...

I don't think marriage is bad or driving is bad... nor do I think they MEAN "you" have lost touch.... but it could :) and i n most cases they do...
