Sounds like a plan gonna fill the tub, and scrog, with that much root space to grow should be interesting to see what I get. Will add another 400w hps soon as I can find a better way to control temps in there.

Fill the tub, put some sort of filter on the drain to keep out roots, fabricate an attachment for the faucet so you can water easily
For your next grow, you could consider doing DWC in the tub, that would be really interesting :]

Nice Park', I like the idea of a dwc bathtub may have to consider that!, yeah Im gonna put down something like a tarp with drainage holes and a screen over the drain.

UPDATE: So the plants are finally showing me some sex, hard to judge 100% because they are very very small preflowers, but I know I have 4 males for sure, 2 suspected gonna let them go some more to make sure. I have 2 females for sure and one suspected to be female. The rest have no signs at all. Do males tend to show faster than females? Hope the number of females pick up lol

ill def watch you if you do it in the tub, ive never seen it done but forsure with all the soil the plants are gonna be massive

Yeah That much soil should make for some fairly large plants, debating on what to do with them though. Leaning towards Scrog, but what do you all think? Scrog, LST, Fim or top, or just let em go on their own?

Ok, have 5 females for sure, and two unknowns, found 3 more males... all they males have already been trashed. Soon as these Last two show, it transplant time!!

May end up making a new thread for this in a grow journal under appropriate title as its no longer going to be a perpetual CFL grow, instead a Bathtub Scrog with HPS more than likely lol.

Lol, yes the tub is very nice for someone on a budget that has a extra bathroom, you have an exhuast fan or at least the opening to use, the white walls of the bathtub, water source, the drain for excess water runoff etc. etc.

I've decided against filling the tub with soil though because of the fact it would not work well with me wanting a perpetual grow. Need to be able to easily take plants in and out of the flower room.

I ended up with 7 females not bad, I will take some clones from them here soon. Also planing to buy two cool tubes for my 400 watters, a carbon filter and can fan then duct them all together and out the exhuast fan in the ceiling to help with odor and temps.

This is a very unique grow here, Subscribed! Wish ya woulda filled the tub though, that would have been something to see lol....

subcribed.. i was reading subcool thread ill get back to you which one but he plants two slower growing plants in one pot all the time... and his stuff the best looking bud ive ever seen!

i have two pots in one now to see bc i used to think what people said was true about them fighting with eachothers roots... now it just sounds silly knowing that in the wild they grow in masive stands all crammed together... ive seen pictures from afganistan that my friend brought home... so im sure there is competion but nothing major...
