@Silky_smooth RIU Solo Cup Challenge**

My dear friend,@Silky_smooth, A single grass sprout has appeared. This is the first time ever for me that seeds that showed a root tip failed to produce a seedling. I have failed you, and I’m deeply apologetic. Or perhaps I’ve been had by US Customs and their infernal X-ray of international postal items. I thought the root tips looked odd, but dismissed it. Now that they didn’t grow I wonder mmmmmmm!?!

Regardless, to all our friends who have been following, I say thank you, and wish us a more entertaining episode next time. Please follow @Silky_smooth for an enlightening education on cannabis cultivation here and on Instagram & growdiaries.com She knows her stuff

See ya next time, friends

Hopefully they may see the light if you just give a bit more time. But its strange... already sprouted, it shouldnt halt at all...

My vessel is a 200ml little champagne bottle
cool bottle approach... very little surface so less evaporation, less risk of these 200ml drying out over night. did you cut holes at the bottom? whats that green plastic for

Please start over i dont want to do this alone....❤️View attachment 4450081
guess here on RIU that little runt is going to have lots of playmates :D

OK bae, I will for you!
And I ask our friends following here to vote your choice from among my seeds list below.
@Silky_smooth bred these seeds. I’m listing only the autos for this grow, but she sent me photos also.

After people chime in, I’ll grow what the people want me to grow!

Blue gorilla
Banana sherbet
Malawi gold
Puna budda Hawaiian
Neville’s Haze
Purple moby x Oregon peach
Gorilla candy
Fruity orange pebbles

Some menu huh!!

Banana sherbet sounds banging!

I had never heard of the strain Neville’s Haze until @Silky_smooth sent me the seeds. Here’s the description from leafly.com

Neville's Haze was named after Nevil Schoemakers, founder of the Seed Bank of Holland. A tall sativa with almost pure Haze lineage. It's known for being a tall plant with a pine cone scent and distinctive floral notes. Neville's Haze won the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1998. This THC-dominant strain tends to deliver potent cerebral effects.

The Colombian red I smoked in my youth had pine, pepper, and floral notes, and was trippy even at times. Same for Jamaican. Jamaican was VERY peppery

that's a famous one for sure. I'd like to see that, but honestly - they all semm to be interesting :)

maybe it'll consider ripening sooner bc of all that rootboundness...? There is some outdoor technique to deplete a plant of N on order to initiate a sooner (or faster?) flower....
Maybe it would ripen sooner but I'm not sure if that is a bonus indoors if it were to affect quality by ripening sooner for the wrong reasons.

Growing it in a solo cup is going to be difficult. Some solo cup grows are harvested when NH ends it's stretch.

I'd love to see a comp some day where everyone grew 5 Neville's Haze Seeds with 40+ players using any style to grow it.
Would be a fun comp. A few said they would be interested in that comp and that # will grow.

Happy Growing! :weed:

You can count me in on that i’m currently doing a Malawi gold she also has a 14-15week flowerperiod...i was first thinking on that but i still have another solo cup going...8 weeks of veg and flowering a week now still Some 8 weeks left 338D7646-654C-49C7-B070-7EC83CCD5A0C.jpeg8CB357F1-A27D-491A-91EA-08EA21AE1F64.jpeg

You heard the lady! Neville’s Haze it is. And we’ll get to the others in time.

I’ve been growing my personally bred 3rd gen NY Diesel Kush for actual harvest, no solo cup game. You’d think it’s ho-hum by now for me, but the taste is so smooth, and the high is layered and complex. No ceiling. I love it!

We’re going to put the shoe on the other foot - I’ll be sending Silky my NYDK seeds, and we’ll do a solo grow off of those!

But for now I’m starting my Neville’s Haze, and keeping a watchful eye on moisture and temps. I’ve never had a sprout stop growing either, as people have chimed in. Gonna baby these two!
