Silly Question

When we close the tent, the temp can go up to 90-100 with a medium sized fan on the plants. So we usually keep the tent open to keep the temp normal.

I know we're losing light doing this. Any solutions/suggestions?

make a hole in the top and seal it with duct tape to make water proof, like a vent on your roof only for a tent.

ah, yes...forgot to mention that there are 2 holes on the top of the tent and 2 on the sides. we keep them open, but it still gets hot. I suppose as long as the leaves aren't showing signs of struggle, it should be fine. maybe our thermom is too close in with the light bulbs. who knows. silly question.

i have the same problem i just leave my door open a crack to keep it in the 78-83 range with the temps reaching the 100's this can cause heat stress and such so id just leave your tent open q crack unless you want to make an exaust?

my 1st grow clfs day temps 77-80 night temps 60-65 out side temps at nite 20-30 .set up in closet so i use door to vent and black out.do i need air flow at dark time?12 hours door close? fatfarmer needs to know please!

you need air flow at all times to keep the co2 circulated and such you dont want old air, also with the air flow the fan makes the stem stronger

You don't need a fan in the tent in the way that I believe you are doing it. You need to get yourself a REAL fan and hook it up to cool your light and your tent and your temps will drop freakin' 20 degrees.

You didn't specify the size of the tent or type of lighting so it's hard to judge what you need in the way of a fan, but it'll change your life and you'll have a hell of a time flowering plants in a tent you have to come manually close up everyday. You don't want your grow to dictate your life that way.

Give some more info and we can give some insight into what you might want to do to rectify the situation.
