This is so simple it made my jaw drop, even though I've been using it after a fashion.
GARLIC!!! We all know about it, so I'm not going to detail all that here.
I had put a bunch of clones out for a spring harvest and hid them among the 17+5gallon buckets of garlic I had growing. I had zero problems with any sort of pests and I do mean zero in 9 weeks of flower.
Then, another old grower posted a pic that . He had simply planted a clove or 2 of garlic in the final container close to the edge.
That had never occured to me. I made use of the garlic in the spring, but most of its growing season is way too cold for mj. The thing is, all you need is the green growth to repel bugs even if you don't get a mature bulb out of the deal. Just never thought to grow it out of season as a bug deterrent. DOH!!!!!!
What could be simpler or cheaper than sticking a clove or 2 of garlic in a container after the last transplant?
