Simple process of repairing a broken limb.

I am disabled and live in the backwoods.
Therefore in order for the girls to get enough sun,
I must move them a few times per day.
I can't pick them up so I have to use a handtruck.
I broke a limb a week and a half ago.
The bark was still intact so I knew I had a chance to save it.
I got some twist ties and went straight back out. I knew I had to hurry.
I held the broken baby up while I twist tied the limb to the trunk.
Then to make sure it would stay in place, I tied the limb to the upper limb.
Just tight but don't cut into the bark.
Take good care of your babies and they will take good care of you.:?
Well, a picture tells a thousand words.
The twist tie's allow you to make adjustments as the plant grows. :peace:

I love twist ties. Things were made by the weed gods i tell ya :-D If you dont want the plant growing into the twisty tie, cut bout a 2 inch long piece of air tubing quarter inch dismater, and sleeve the twist tie on where its gonna be touching the plant. Not thats its a big deal or anything tho.

My Marijuana tool kit contains twist ties, scissors and duct tape.
(notice the side of one of the containers my plant is in). LOL
I will simply loosen them as the plant heals, unless of course harvest comes first.
The limb is doing just as good as the rest. ;-)

i had a y splitter and 2 lites fall and split a a main cola to the point where it was just hanging by a little thread. I carefully tried to fit it exactly back to where it fit perfectly ,then i taped it and tied it to a stake . Did this about 5 days ago ,the bottom leaves are slightly droopy but the upper part (nice big cola at day 29 of flower seems unaffected) Question?? should I just have removed this branch ,hopefully focusing energy on 3 remaining colas,or do you think it will survive and grow and not affect yeild on others ,this was a tough call,I chose to try and save it as it was already a nice fat cola for 29 days in. Any comments ,thoughts appreciated. thanks

Being that far into budding I would have just taken it and let the energy flow to the remaining colas.
But, it is mainly a personal preference. It is always good to experiment with different things.
Keep an eye on the moisture of the broken cola to make sure it isn't drying out.

Without pix of its condition, it is very hard to give an answer. Wait and see, but I always try to preserve as much as possible.

Twist ties? I was just out pollinating kholas. I use plastic labels attached to each branch with..... twist ties.

Twist ties and tie wire will solve a LOT of problems!

I tripped over one of my lines that I had a plant tied down with. Split her right in half at the main stem. I took some string and tie her bak together. She healed just fine.

all great ideas and I've used twist ties, duct tape, tie wire, bread ties, masking tape, tie ribbon etc etc etc. And I still use some of those things, but this stuff here is amazing stuff. It;s like elmers glue for plants! Break a limb, no problem! Just glue it back on with this!! It works great and with some added b1 you can glue a branch back that broke off completely if you catch it quick enough.IMG_3326.jpg

I had a major branch split on me a few weeks ago and I went with Vet wrap to hold it in place. vet wrap is nice because its got some elastisity to it and is wide enough not to cut into the plant and actually stretch as it grows.

a deer snapped my main stalk in half about 1 1/2 months into veg, i duct taped it and braced it up with a stick and it healed over the next 2-3 weeks. there's now a big knot in the stalk but it seems stronger than before and shes growing great, a bit stunted but she branched out more

That grafting putty is good stuff. My bro has been on me all year to get some. We just never got around to it.
