Some get it. Others prefer to close their eyes and stay in the echo chamber where everyone thinks the same and they all reenforce each others beliefs.

Those of us that live outside the echo chambers see the entire picture.
Might you have an example of an 'echo chamber' from say 1975?
Who, in your opinion, developed the echo chamber situation of which you speak and when did that era begin?
Thanks, history is fascinating.

I don't care when, where or who. Right now you have extremes living in an echo chamber. 1975 is irrelevant. I could care less about blaming someone. That solves nothing. I'm not going to live in the past. I'm looking to the future.

Since people want to go back in time lets go back to 1968 and talk about George Wallace. The Democratic Governor of Alabama.

"segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever".

And then, after the Kennedy brothers nationalized the Guard in 1963 to get that racist out of the doorway to the University of Alabama so that a qualified A student who happened to be black could enter he got really angry.

And after the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act 0f 1964 and 1965 he got really, really angry and started the American Independent Party for the 1968 election that carried several southern states including their electoral vote.

And by the 1972 election, every one of those states went Republican and stayed there for the most part ever since, except for the 1976 Jimmy Carter election when they supported the southerner for a cycle. Gone since the 1980s.

I know you don't want to live in the past so I won't dwell on it.

that is a fascinating and straw-man reframing of post 47.
I also notice you won’t back your somewhat fantastic opinions by answering post 22.

I agree with this 100% do away with it! People (well anyone who isn’t blinded by our ridiculously one sided media anyway) are sick of both sides! Nobody that I know aligns fully with one side or the other. People just like to go with who the media tells them is a better person.
stupid people go with who the media tells them to...
i am not usually a straight party voter, but have been the last couple of elections, and will be for the foreseeable future. the republicans all..and i do mean ALL, have their heads up their asses, the only ones that have a shred of dignity left are serving on the 1/6th committee and are retiring, instead of staying with their corrupt, sick party any longer.
if a republican politician didn't actively participate in trump's amateurish, poorly planned, shittily executed coup attempt, they knew...KNEW something was going on, and not one single one of them said a fucking word to the press, to the authorities, to fucking ANYONE...they sat back and let it happen...so yeah, i'mma be a straight party voter till all of these fucks quit running.

She was definitely going to be primaried and she would have lost and then the Democrats would lose that seat. She has the best chance of holding that seat in Arizona. Do the Democrats want it going to a Republican or someone that votes with them 90% of the time?
honestly? after her bullshit, if a democrat doesn't take her seat, i could give a fuck if she keeps it or the republicans get it. she's a cold hearted mercenary asshole, out for number one...she is a fucking republican in everything but name. fuck her and fuck them.

You can breathe a sigh of relief

“In a 45-minute interview, the first-term senator told POLITICO that she will not caucus with Republicans and suggested that she intends to vote the same way she has for four years in the Senate. ‘Nothing will change about my values or my behavior,’ she said.
she has none, and she's always been self serving, so yeah, i believe her.

Still stuck on nobody replying to your post #22. Racism definitely exists in the Democratic party. They just keep it behind closed doors. Well at least they try. Unless you don't consider calling a Black Council members child a monkey racist.

Stop reading the national inquirer while checking out of the grocery
Your grief with media indicates that is your news source and they need your ilk to buy a copy

It's ridiculous. Both sides do it. Look at how primarying candidates that could win worked out for the GOP this last election. They went too extreme and lost elections they could have easily won.

Here in Oregon we had a Democrat House member get primaried by someone on the far left. He lost the primary and the Democrats lost a House seat Kurt Schrader had held since 2008. The extremes are stuck in their echo chambers and there doesn't seem to be any way to get them to come out. Both the Democratic and Republican parties are shrinking and neither one seems to be able to acknowledge that much of the electorate refuses to identify with either party.
both are shrinking, but both hold all the fucking power, independents have fuck all to use as leverage about anything. these people have spent lifetimes building the system, they aren't going to let it fall. they'll tailor images, rewrite rhetoric, hire image consultants, drop new trigger phrases, and slowly consume the independents...because the independents have NO party behind them, they have NO resources, they have NO connections, they have NO influence, they have NO unified voice.
you can be as sick of the establishment as you want to be, until you can offer an attractive alternative, you have nothing to offer at all.

Fox is not credible in these matters. Videos period are inadmissible.

so basically, you got nothing.

Being an independent voter does not translate to a verdict of both the bigs being equally bad. That is the miscarriage of logic you and the other guy are trying to pull.

she doesn't do one fucking thing because it's the right thing to do...she does things based on how they will reflect on her. ANYTHING benevolent she does, she does because it benefits her, somehow. it improves her image, it gives her a foot in a door, it puts her in contact with someone else she can use...

The Left: We can be racist we just can't show it publicly.

The Right. We can be racist and we don't care who knows.

I thought you were smarter than that. That's a well known scandal that was reported on just about every news outlet including MSNBC. As far as FOX, if you understood how television works you would know that local stations can be FOX and have nothing to do with FOX news or FOX news views. You can't dispute the facts so you go to plan B and try and discredit the messenger.

Does NBC pass your credibility test? Do any of these? Or are you going to just stick your head back in the sand and claim it's not true or didn't happen?

How about CBS

What about the Associated Press?
