I have sourced MW drivers and lots of other bits from CPC,Farnell & RS.
I bought 2 of these from cpc for roughly £7 each. At 30 watts, with 2 cxa3050s and 2 cheap pc heatsinks (with fans on).....you are nearly there!

GDE-30C070Z3 product code for a 30w led driver from CPC, as mentioned they work well with cxa3050s.

Do you know if they would drive the vero 29s? Well enough to make it worth while, theyre quite a lot lower power compared to the meanwell 60w 1400ma drivers

Im not sure, the voltage range is fine but you would be driving very light indeed.
If you want use these drivers you are better suited to the vero 18s.
If one of the clever cookies that frequent RIU cast their eye on it they are better qualified than I to give a definitive view!

Vero 29 are rated at 2.1A, they even say 3.1 A should be fine in datasheet.
Meanwell LPC 60-1400 should give about 55 watts and run not too hot and quite efficient.

Driving the light softly bumps the efficiency. That 30w driver would certainly work with a vero 29. However you would have to add a second emitter at 30w to balancethat out. TThough untimely there would be more total light being produced.

I'll be using 2 vero 29s, would still be better on the 60w 1400 ma? Or to much power for being so close?

My guess single vero 29 at 1400ma should give a little less than 5000 lumens @ 50watts
Not sure how big is your cabinet. Adding at 2nd vero 29 @ 50 watts could raise the temp if not good ventilation or if ur box is small.
You can also consider 2 Vero 29 with 1000ma in series with LPC-100-1050, should give a total 8000 lumens @ total 75 watts
How about a single vero 29 with some red/blue 5050 strips

You should double check the data sheets. A 3000k, 80 CRI, vero 29 @1400ma would be ~7000 lumen each. @1050ma it would be ~5000 lumen each.
Sounds like a perfect match. Four vero 29's driven at 700ma would be even better.

My guess i was wrong or you were looking at 25degree I was looking at 85. Also i was looking at the 2700k.
Normalized flux at 25degree 70% @ 1400. I decreased it to 60% for calculation as the temp is gonna go higher than 25 i guess.
Tc = 85°Cv, 8340lumen
Normal Tc = 85° 8340*60%= 5004 Lumen - My answer
Best case Tc = 25° 9740*70%= 6818Lumen - Your answer
I have only done math and no actual COB so far. What would be a realistic Tc ?
Btw stardustsailor says that a Vero 29 can be driven up to 8400 mA

somewhere in the middle. Also you should use the 70% figure instead of 60% when calculating the output at Tc=85.

you are correct. I don't need to reduce 70% to 60% if i am looking at flux @ 85 degree.
It should be
Normal Tc = 85° 8340*70%= 5838 Lumen
ok lets meet in the middle at 6500 lumens

If you get just vero you will have just another vero grow. You need to add some 5050 colors to your grow with single vero29

These strips will run cool and don't take much space. no heatsink. Cheeper 12v power supply You can stick them around the sides of your box. I just bought a few strips for myself.
