Single HSO Fem Blue Dream in Coco Coir - Photon 180V LED

Funny you say that, I just now watered her, but with 50% of the recommended bloom nutes, but 100% of the recommended cal mag.. So let's hope it helps her a tad.

And no flushing you say? I've just always heard that you should. Guess I'll read up some more.

Also how many days till harvest do you reckon? Just based on the pictures.. When I check the buds with a microscope most of the crystals are still clear, non cloudy, but I don't have any sense of time on this, since it's my first grow.
No problem bro, next feed do 75% nutes and see how she is.

By the looks I say maybe 2 weeks if that. You want most of the hairs throwing out to shrink and shrivel back into the calyxes.
As far as trichs, you want mostly cloudy with very few amber. You're almost there man good job. Next run get a PPM meter and I'm sure you'll have an easier time.

She's gonna put on more weight last week or so

Thanks man, you're always encouraging!

And yeah PPM meter is on the list for next grow. :weed:

The runoff PH was around 5.0. Which is too low to absorb a lot of nutrients, which would explain the deficiencies. I flushed it with 6.0 water until the run-off was back at a stable 6.0, then gave it a feeding afterwards @ 50% strength so it isn't stripped of nutes either.

I'll update with a picture tomorrow. ^^

After reading the last few pages of this thread I decided to clear up some info @ flushing.

There's two types of flushing.
1. Flushing at or near the end of the plants life to supposedly remove nutrients for better smoke. - I don't wanna get into a huge discussion on this.

2. Flushing the medium every X weeks to remove salt build up from using salt based nutrients.
This shits no joke and needs to be done when running something like coco+perlite+salt based nutes.

If the salt doesn't get flushed it will start to alter the ph of the medium causing lockouts, the more nutes you feed it the worse it gets. Some alternate feeding water/nutes/water/nutes. Alternating can substantially reduce the salt build up but it doesn't eliminate it entirely.

As HandyGringo did, in coco the simplest way to test it is to check the ph of your waste water.
Eg. If you feed at a ph of 5.8 and the waste water is 6.9 flush it lol. Or feeding at 5.8 and the waste is 4.8 flush it until it's closer to what you're feeding at. I flushed with ph'ed water two weeks ago and just fed at 5.7, my waste was 5.9 for example. I'm fine with the waste @ 5.9 and will prolly flush again in 2 weeks, sooner if the waste water ph goes batshit on me.

Sorry OP for the slight derailment lol.

Day 47 of flowering. I flushed her today, to bring her root zone PH from 5.0 to 6.0 where it belongs, hopefully fixing some deficiencies. Also gave her a feed at 50% strength.

Buds are still looking frosty and beautiful, but some of the tiny leaves are disagreeing with the prior treatment.

Thanks to Bubblin - Click the quote if you want to read the entire comment on flushing in coco etc!

Derail as much as you want man, thanks a lot for the help

Day 52 of flowering. She is still suffering a slight bit, but the buds are still fattening up, and getting frostier and frostier as days go by. I know she's drooping a bit now, but I've been out of town etc, just gave her a watering so all should be okay.

Sorry for the wall of images coming up.. But I haven't taken pictures of her in a while..

Day 58 of flowering. She is still looking kind of bad. I have no idea why. The runoff ph is 6.0 as I want it to be, and I feed with 6.0 as well. Maybe she's fine, but the issues from before still affect some of the leaves? I don't know. I just hope she makes it.

Am I far from harvest?

I'd harvest anywhere from 4 days till the next 8 or so days.. Some people might say longer but that's when i would pick him. By the way great job on your grow man! Been following from the beginning

Day 61 of flowering - Getting close.. I've had to string up some of the smaller buds, they were falling out the tent when I opened it. She is doing fine as far as I can tell, even though she looks funky.

Sounds about right..! And thanks a lot! Glad to have you on board :p Growing is a fickle business, so having as many opinions as possible has really helped me improve my grow.

Damn, she keeps throwing out white pistils. Thought it was just about done but looks like she could go a few more days.. Looks very nice though

Yeah I guess a week or so as well. She will be very fat by the end I think. Lower popcorn buds are starting to merge with the larger buds as well..

looks good man is there a way to check your trichs gringo

Thanks! And I don't really have a way to photograph them properly :/ I just got a Canon camera with a normal lens.. But I do check them myself with a tiny loupe.. There's hardly any amber trichomes.. One of the buds have like 5% amber, but all the others are crystal like.. Not sure if they're even milky.. When you've never grown before identifying milky vs clear trichs is a bit hard..

when you click on the pic you can zoom a little closer but it's still hard to tell.. I think there ready anytime really.. I'd wait a week , maybe not even but the still look like they have a little time to go
