ive been stuck at home for the last year and a half with osteomyelitis in my right heel. after watching every movie known to man, played every video game ps2 has made in the last few years + classics and of course smoke enough weed to maintain my hook ups rent for said year +. ive decided that i want to grow a plant on my own. im in no way trying to do 10 plants or anything mega sciencetific. heres what i got...
(2) cfl's 1 @ 6500k spectrum & 1 @ 2700k spectrum. (this may change. i my get a 175 watt hamilton aquarium pendeant light) on 18/6
(1) 15w 168 led par38 blue and red and 1 more on its way here. so ill have 2. on 18/6
(1) 6qt bubbleponics set up. black tub white top. one 6 inch air stone with 5-15 gallon pump. on 24/7
(1) rubbermaid tash can. i dont know how many gallons but its about 4ft tall i think. ive painted the whole inside of the can white top to bottom. i did cut out a 1x1 hole in the bottom so its easier for me to work with. plus it helps vent the can.
(1) fan on 24/7
(1) timer taking care of the lights.
(1) unknown clone. my friend told me that the strain was forgot but that it came from an old mother plant. dont know how much of that is smoke being blown up my ass.
my friend also gave me (2) 8 oz grow and bloom tea to mix with the water. 1oz per gallon ratio. bat and sea bird guano and some other stuff. he told me entire process of de-chlorinating the H2O, brewing the castings, guano and humic and aerating the solution takes 5-7 days. my wife claims one of them smells like one of my farts but she nuts.
here are a few of the issues im having maybe some1 can help me.
1. the clone was free and came in a huge rockwool cube that was super wet and looks like green mold on the top. i had to cut with a razor the rockwoool to fit in the 3 in net cup. is there anyway to get rid of the mold or is it to late? ATM im covering it with foil.
2. i know its bad but i dont check the ph of my water. i use tap water, please dont flame me. but whats the cheapest way of checking the ph levels? are ph levels that important for a hobby? are ph level important for profit?
3. i have a brown spot on the bottom leaf. is this becuz of my ph or bugs?
4. the clone came with leafs that looked like a razor cut them. why would a grower do that?
