Single Plant: 250W MH or 430 Watt HPS?

Well, this is a spillover topic from this thread.

Here is my setup. Just one female, 30 inches high, a single 250W MH with the Agrosun Gold Metal Halide. However, I have the option to switch to a 430 Watt HPS setup as well.

I guess the question is, will it significantly impact my yield since this is only a single plant? And, the Gold bulbs have a very well balanced spectrum.

I guess depending on the answer I'll switch things out tonight if I have to.

Pictures:

12 gallon reservoir bubbleponic DWC system. The two fans on the bottom are Coolworks 50 Watt Ice Probe Nano Chillers that keep the reservoir cooler to keep oxygen levels up. I don't think I need them anymore, but I did at one time when temperatures went out of control.

Inside is a single female of unknown strain that is currently growing at about .5-1 inch per day.

30 inches or so high at day 15 since flowers started forming with 12/12. It's being hit by the 250 Watt Gold MH.

So, I guess the question is: Do I go HPS for yield or stick with the MH for quality?

if you upgrade, just be cautious of it being hotter than what you are using now.
Will do. I guess with it being colder here in Corn Country I could turn the thermostat down a bit. During the day the MH turns the temp up to 73 with the closet door open, but it can easily get to 78 or higher with the door closed for an hour.

Oh..and I gave in to temptation and put in the 430 watt HPS. Here's hoping.

So one 430 watt HPS on a single 30 inch tall female of unknown strain. I wonder what the yield will be?

Hoping you get more than anticipated harvest. Good luck!
Thanks much. Since I'm using A Galaxy electronic ballast with the 430 Watt SunAgro Super HPS, I noticed the temperature has...

Stayed the same.

So yeah, I have the top of the plant sitting at around 9500 foot candles (11 inches canopy to reflector edge) and the intensity is such that I'm still getting +5000 foot candles 6 inches down from THAT point.

Damn, HPS is awesome .

Also changed the nute solution out yesterday and did a reverse foliar feed with some Floralicious 2 tsp/gal today.

Can't wait to see the buds go nuts now. I'll keep everyone filled in.
