Skunk #1 harvest at 50 days?

From what i have read/seen about skunk#1 is that its a 45-55 flowering strain. Im on day 33 and i want to flush them for about 1 to 2 weeks (im using botanicare nutes). The buds have started to fatten up the past few days and i know they need atleast 2 more weeks to reach a nice size and im willing to wait longer for a nice yeild. What do you think? will they be ready around 55-60 days? i want a nice head high but i dont have a microscope to check the trichs so im going by the look. its my first grow..

Looks good yo, I'd go about 60-68 days... The clear trichs can fool the naked eye into harvesting early. Go to cvs/miejer buy a $5 scope. Good luck

ok i was aiming for 60 days so i should start my flushing on day 54 and flush until 68 - 2 weeks flush and some nice fat buds?

where can you buy a 30x microscope in canada? we dont have radio shack here.. well there is like 1..

the best i can find at a pharmacy is like 2.0 or 4.0.. those wont magnify enough will they?

Hi Timmy,

Very nice plants!

I got my microscope from www.bghydro.com specifically. (30-60x)

60 days total, so about 4 weeks from now ,I think that is a good range to start with. Those pistols are still pretty long and your leaves look pretty dark for the most part, at least in those pics they look that way to me. I would wait two weeks at least before flushing and I wouldnt start flushing unless those fan leaves are all starting to yellow pretty good also...so in two weeks see whatsup and maybe even wait one more week! The idea is to have those nice white pistols appear to shorten when really its your buds getting fatter and most importantly DENSE. You need to feel NUGS when you squeeze em and you want that bud material with its own crystals pushing up and outward while those pistosl start to turn amber and curl up, etc... then yes the microscope test can always be your guarantee as far as precisely what day you should cut when you are on your final week or two! Its great in the final couple weeks when crystals form like sugar out of nowhere overnight!

hey man ive done alot of online researching and those pesky glasses r gettting harder to find in stores.

yes most places only carry 2-4x scopes, but walmart has a 15x one. i know its not as strong as we would like but im sure this is alot better.

ive also been told to check out a photography store, and they might have what we r looking for

I have been growing Skunk#1 from Dutch Passion for about 5-6 years and mine finish right about 9 weeks give or take a couple days, I will take some pictures of mine tonight when the lights come on and show you mine at 1 month flower on the 15

I got a microscope from ebay at like $7 with shipping. Took about a week to come in. 60-100x magnification. Its enough to see the trichs.

ive been growing sk1 from dutch passion as well for 3 seasons and your looking at nine weeks.....i interbreed mind after the first season...but its a pure strain....most harvest too early....be patient my friend....good luck

wow thanks for the help! im going to chop them at 60 days. maybe let the smaller green beast go longer - it was my weakest one then it just exploded - there is no stem its all bud.. il get some pictures up tonight

They will add on weight in the last two weeks..the calyxes will swell and will dry into nice hard nugs.....looks like yu have a bit to go yet...nice looking specimens though....at what height did yu flower those??

What kind of lights are you using my guess from the pics is cfls correct? You still got a while take them to atleast 60 days for nice hard nuggets. They will start packing on the weight between weeks 6-8.

its a lumatek 400w with a HPS bulb. I just know how to correct color temperature while taking photos...

They were flowered at 8-12" and the small clone was 4".
