@ Bailable Thanks mate. A few trichs are starting to show up, but I think we've still got another 3 weeks to go so I anticipate seeing more that's for sure. I'll get a decent camera at some point, I promise. Just using the iPhone4 at the moment..
@ the Yorkshireman. Not sure what the point of your post is. The person who sent me these beans is fairly prolific on this site and I certainly don't see why he'd bullshit me and tell me they're one thing when they're something else. From what I've been able to see from going to the sensi website and others, my pheno is pretty much in the ballpark for what I've read to expect. Also, my grow is scrogged (badly, but nevertheless a manipulated canopy). It could have all the symmetry in the world and it would still mean nothing as far as my grow is concerned. I've manipulated it fairly intensively. My leaves are obviously sativalike as is the growth habit, and from what I've read about it's heritage, that's perfectly normal.
EDIT: As far as "high calyx to leaf ratio" is concerned, I'm pretty happy with what I'm getting. Far more than is to be found on the bagseed neighbour...
But hey, you've got more rep than me so you're the expert, right...?
Dude I wasn't trying to be funny, call your pal a bullshitter or make out I'm an expert but that's clearly NOT sensi's Skunk #1.
For a start Sensi's Skunk #1 is not a Sativa,it's an Afghani Indica dom plant with a Sativa like effect.
I don't know where you get your info but it isn't from Simon at Sensi.
Taken from the Sensi Seeds site-
The strain that changed the face of cannabis culture across the world continues to amaze weed-lovers more than a quarter-century after her release! The original Skunk hybrids fused traditional cultivars from Central and South America, Afghanistan and Thailand. Through generations of intensive selection and back-crossing, the very best examples of Skunk were stabilised into the first true-breeding Indica-Sativa hybrid - the classic Indica-dominant Skunk #1.
Breeders regard Skunk #1 as the benchmark of uniform, reliable performance and her rock-solid genotype has influenced a hundred modern hybrids. Skunk #1's energetic performance and bountiful yields demonstrate the true meaning of hybrid vigour. Growth and flowering are mostly-Indica in appearance, though Skunk plants gain more height than pure Indicas when blooming. Flowering is both rapid and rewarding, as Skunk #1 produces robust stems and branches to support her superior yields. Short internode gaps explode into dense, rounded bud-clusters which merge into huge, heavy colas by harvest time. Skunk #1's Sativa genes have a subtle effect on flower structure plus a wonderful influence on her effect - a stunningly potent combination of stone and high!
Sensi´s new feminised Skunk #1 is remarkably uniform when grown from seed, with plants displaying consistent structure and regular bud formation time and time again. In almost 30 years of experience with the strain, this is the finest example of feminised Skunk #1 that we´ve ever seen!
As for me being a "pedant" isn't that why we are all here, to share knowledge?
I sincerely hope the grow turns out ok for you,I'm not here to fall out with people.
Namaste!
