i dunno why this dude is gettin so much praise there was a dude a long time ago that jumped from a helium balloon from 107,000 feet for scientific reasons not just for shits an giggles.
I love the landing.. My favorite part.^^bloody awesome. cn
There were scientific reasons, you don't thinks they were gathering data? Just because redbull puts their name on it doesn't mean it's not still a scientifically valid space jump. They gathered data that will be used to further the development of better space suits, so they can handle more server conditions. That last guys didn't break the sound barrier, and didn't go through as much atmospher which gets really hot at that speed. So this is new data they gathered.i dunno why this dude is gettin so much praise there was a dude a long time ago that jumped from a helium balloon from 107,000 feet for scientific reasons not just for shits an giggles.
I wonder what sort of suit-surface temps they measured. I would not expect a big spike, since in aircraft frictional heating problems are minimal at a sustained Mach 2. cnThere were scientific reasons, you don't thinks they were gathering data? All I know from watching it live, was on the infrared camera there was a point where he was just a glowing blob. Couldn't distinguish his arms or legs anymore, he was just like a glowing orb for a little while.I wonder what sort of suit-surface temps they measured. I just Googled it and found no temp data, but his suit's max temp rating was one hundred degrees F. cnAll I know from watching it live, was on the infrared camera there was a point where he was just a glowing blob.
