The intent of the 14th amendment had nothing to do with immigration, but how to treat the newly freed slaves.

I welcome immigration from south of the border.
I just don't have a problem with the term anchor baby because that is the most accurate term of the function of that child and the reason it's mother decided to come to America to squeeze it out.
The slaves are dead. Their descendants, who are now the most prosperous population of black africans on the planet are the ungrateful ones.
They should thank their lucky stars every day their ancestors were brought here as slaves.
