I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on the amount of sleep we should be getting, so what do you think? What does science say?
People I've known who've been in the military say they're taught the human body only needs 4 hours of sleep each extended period of time, so for every 8-12 hours you're awake, 4 hours should be adequate.
I've heard health experts say 7-10 hours is the sweet spot.
I've heard people say increments of 4 awake, 4 asleep, 4 awake, etc... is the best way to go..
Finally, our ancestors pretty much went to sleep when it was dark and woke up when the sun came up, so I'd think something like that would be the most efficient way to sleep, right?
