Slimey Roots and Little Worms on Roots in DWC...Please Help!

I am new to this site and somewhat to hydroponics..everything has looked good until i noticed that the roots and water had little worms in it..they looked like a cm long and kind of moved like you would flex you index finger back and forth..will be 3 weeks into flowering in two days and the roots have gotten slimey...as bad as this sounds the plant looks very healthy and has been a FUCKING MONSTER so far..using 400w HPS and using a tote for dwc so i can just lift the lid to the roots...
I apologize as i do not have a camera right now but this post couldn;t wait...i will be uploading some pics soon but if there is anyone who has any insight on how to control the pests without harming the plant I would surely appreciate it...thanx!

Are the worms black in color?

yup...black and they kind of lift their middle section to move..i flushed the tote and held the roots under flowing water but other than that im out of ideas
