hey guys/gals
ok heres pertinent info first, strain hazexskunk 1,ffof soil&grow big, using 1/2 distilled with 1/2 tap water(p.h. right around 7-8),molasses 2x so far.sprouted 25 days ago and straight to 3 gal pots 18/6 light schedule
ok this is my maiden grow its in a 4w' 3'd 8h' closet.temps have been pretty high, despite my best attempts to kill'em they are hangin' on:mrgreen:
ok the temps were anywhere from 90 to 94-5 but i have serious air on them now and temps are 88-90.i have been watering them quite often every 3rd day cause soil is dry up to middle knuckle.
ok so now for the question the skunk hybrids are really slow only 2 nodes from
coytle's.i have 2 unknown polyhybrids that are rockin at 3-4 nodes.
lighting is a ton of cfl's did have 2per but got way too hot so 1 26 watt per at 5600k
ok guys/gals please any help will be welcome

With a 3 gallon pot you shouldn't need to water every three days, let the soil dry out and then pick it up and feel the weight, after you water you shouldn't water again until it feels about the same weight as when it was dry.

High temps can cause slow growth but it sounds like it's more a lack of light problem, you need a lot more than 26w per plant.

It's normal for the cotyledons to yellow and die, I hope you gave them a very very small dose of fertilizer otherwise you may run in to some nutrient burns, if you didn't mix it at 1/4 strength or less I'd flush the pot to try and avoid any major damage.
You want at least 6000 lumens per sq ft of growing space, preferably with reflectors on the CFLs (you can even build the reflectors from cutting up soda cans), and a good fan blowing on the plants, I can remember who suggested it but someone on this forum froze milk jugs full of water and let a fan blow it, reduced the temps a good bit.

Good luck man, I'll try and answer any more questions if you've got em.

If these are Sam the Skunkman Haze x Skunk #1 you had better think of flowering them now. These things get HUGE and take FOREVER to flower....like 12 weeks+ or more.

good luck

hey all,
ok first off entropic what a idea with the jugs im going to get one started today. thx
btdt,
no i can't claim any grand lineage for the skunk/haze they are from a gentleman who goes by the handle highgrade.but i am in awe of his polyhybrids they are just head and shoulders above the others.
thx
:peace:
