Slow maturation of Buds under LED

Ok having an issue I never had under HPS, the issue is that the buds are taking forever to finish.

So far I switched to a shorter 10 hour light cycle , my next move will be to create a finishing area with all red and far red Cob chips.

Anyone else have this problem?

How long is it taking?

My experience was 8 week strain taking 8 weeks, etc.

Some evidence suggests 90 CRI provides shorter flowering periods, but my experience was with 80 CRI so I don't think it's necessary for flowering times to be typical.

One issue is that I didnt record my flowering dates which I have since started (again this was not a issue under hps so why would i start doing it). I would estimate that they are at 10 weeks at 40% brown pistils...they just wont finish.
When I was growing under hps and they got to that point it would be week 9 and maybe give it another few day.

90 CRI? I'm going to have to figure out what that means honestly.

Had it up to 50 per sf, way to much running about 30 now.
It's 12 square feet with 3 200 watt max adjustable led light arrays.

well remember if you are running your fixtures at say half wattage they will be a lot more efficient and will be more light than you think (on a watts/SF basis) - 30W/SF can be high ppfd on fixtures run really soft

I used a light meter , so I have that dialed in perfectly.
I am getting great bud size and density...the trichomes look great and now I will tune my fans to get a higher temp.

Well that is good to know. I've been keeping my tent around 67-77. Should probably be a good 5-7 degrees higher. Thanks!

Temps will affect growth rate but I'm not sure low temps would extend flowering.

Either way, a small fan cycling some of the waste heat from the LED into the canopy can increase temps without adjusting the thermostat. Use DC fans and it can be done with very little wattage.
