Slug Attack....

So newbie me forgot the slug pellets. 5 days later and my crop has been ravaged with slugs. Immediate genocide of every slug (with a blowtorch) i could find near my plant and i chucked a good lot of pellets down. I do wonder what the future holds for it in terms of growth. its still growing but with a little less growth then it usually has. As you can see they took out some nodes, that is what i am curious and concerned about so any advise or something will help

p.s: sorry for the blurry pic, was raining.

Should be fine they will sort themselves out fairly quick, try using copper coins instead of slug pellets i find they work better and don't wash away.

it'll come around bro but you need to fix your slug problem.theyll harass the shit out of your plants all season.if your grow shop doesnt sell them they have these things online that are copper.they wrap around the stalk (at the base of your plant) that prevent slugs from climbing up.ive never used them but have seen them at my local gs.i grow in containers up on pallets.i wrap the pallets with a thin poly bird netting(for fruit trees)that might also slow down any slugs trying to cross.i have crushed stone around my garden too so all in all,its pretty inhospitable to slugs.looks like youre growing in the woods, slugs are everywhere.GL

yeah i was thinking of putting sand around it to make it a little less appealing for the slugs.

Charcoal works well but I don't know if it will affect your plants, it doesn't affect tomatoes so should be fine although it can be messy.

You can buy copper kitchen scrubbers for cheap and if you unwind em it's just a big copper band perfect for putting around pots or staked around the plant. Also diatomaceous earth but also Dig a small whole slide in a solo cup or plastic bag and fill with beer you do these and you will not have a slug problem

Slugs attacked my pumpkins ....little basterds .....I was so pissed when I saw all there damage and vagina juice all over my baby pumpkins ...I started to massacre them with my bare feet.........

It was roughly 5am I went out in my boxers with a cup of coffee to water my pumpkins and tomatoes.....so peaceful listening to the mocking birds call to eachother for bird sex ......fast forward 12 minutes and I'm running back and fourth screaming profanity stomping snails and spilling my coffee in the process.......luckily I live in the cuts and only have one elderly neighbor who already knows I'm crazy.

#fucksnails

You guys should see what happens when i find mites:fire:

not really a preventative but a 1:10 mix; non-sudsing household ammonia and water foams them up on contact. works on any plants, you can vary the ratio as needed
After my incident I'm sure you read above .....I taught little Inda the salty snail trick .....I started off by telling him il give him a quarter for every snell he brings me ......had to stop that after two days or so .....he was cashing in at an incredible rate lol ....the local coin machine owners made a killing .....

Ants are usually attracted to aphids, I plant chives and garlic around my beds they don't seem to like them, keeps them off my beds but doesn't get rid.

The ants are bad where my greenhouses are just even in the off season .....I don't know if it the moisture or maybe even the cover that the houses provide ......somebody was saying sprinkle boric acid or some shit like that ......the don't ever actually go up the plants or infest the foliage/leafs .....I just don't like them even crawling around my smart pots or seeing a random scout on a plant .......I've been spraying the ground with stuff from Home Depot ....well before the plants ever enter the G-house.....it works great at keeping them down to a minimum as well as spiders .....just a bit of cinnamon sprinkled around the bases and I rarely see them ......but they are all along the perimeter especially on watering days ......il have to look into growing some repellents like you mentioned along the outside maybe

i plant lavender around my plot.it helps to deter bud worm laying moths from hanging around.

Boric acid works well but u need to find the nest to be 100% effective. Ants aren't a pest to plants, most the time they are predators feeding on bugs that attack your plants so can be beneficial. That said I can't stand them and end up in the endless battle to get rid.
