sm90 is more multi-purpose. I would use sm90, i use both of these,i notice greater root growth with sm90, it also smells Delicious! :)

question for someone who usees both..... which one lasts longer in the rez before needed to be re-added? or do you dump n reset ur rez every week er two?

i use only zone and love it it. as long as i change the rez biweekly, things dont start growin.

The root benefits are why I'm leaning that way, as well as being able to use organics.

I haven't used either, but I can tell you that chloramine, the main ingredient in Zone, breaks down faster; further, one of the things chloramine breaks down into is ammonia, which is phytotoxic, and without bacteria to break that down into nitrite it will accumulate. Realistically though, changing your reservoir once a week is more than enough to prevent anything bad happening.

Anyone have a legitimate, objective analysis of SM-90 in relation to beneficial bacteria? I've seen claims made both ways, but they are never substantiated.

bibbles, call them up n ask! :)the dude at my hydro shop said its only labeled as a wetting agent but is great as an insecticide. he couldnt tell me if it did shit to microbes.
