At first when I read this post I thought you were just kidding but I see that it was a serious question.
To be honest, I haven't even given this question much thought at all. I know I am attracted to intelligence but regardless of gender. I appreciate intelligence of any kind from the way nature works to the entire scope of universal intelligence.
Since you posed the question "Are men intimidated by smart women," what about 'Are they intimidated by smart men? smart people?
If so, then I don't think it has to do with intelligence but perhaps something else.
I am attracted to intelligence but I don't ignore people I think are less intelligent. I can't even imagine giving that a thought.
If I think someone is a kid(here), then that is something totally different then I usually just ignore.
I just like people who aren't afraid to be themselves regardless of gender, age(within reason) or intelligence.
Its not a stupid question but is an interesting one.

Not at all. My girlfriend has 4 masters degree's and has a great job, She is very intelligent , smart , whitty, and a Blonde. I love a challenge. And she can ALMOST keep up with me on jeopardy..Oh and I love her to death .
