smell masking

hi friends,

considering to try growing outside in the garden..
a bit worried about the smell..
i wonder, maybe i could plant some other very smelly plants to mask the smell of the mj?
has anyone here done something like that before? did it work? which plants?

if u land is that small;i would not grow their,kids smell weed mile away u no what happens next:bigjoint:i have heard cat nip may help

Depends on wat your growing to....take for instance bubblegum no smell till the last 3 weeks of flower for me
Thumpers right but in my case where i live theres at least 5 back yard growers within 8 houses of each other

lavender is kinda pungent., but really most pot wont put off ant scent well into flowering last weeks .imo

Which is why you need some woodland to mask the size and smell I know if you grew an outdoor in England it would be gone before it hit flower lol

Uhhh I have to disagree strongly bro....I have planta that are a month old and they smell like crazy. ...this info is def incorrect...not being a dick but if you have a stinky plant ..especially one that is gonna yield a pound or more u can smell that bitch from a looooonng ways away...somedays u won't smell it till ur close...other days u would swear your in a cannabis garden from 200 yards away....honestly man I have never planted anything to mask the smell...Id say there aren't many plants that would totally mask the smell of a dank plant...I have been known to kill an animal and throw it nearby to get the stink going around...but that doesn't really work in ur veggie garden or backyard lol

I was reading about some outdoor grows on the here and this discussion has came up plenty of times...I myself was looking into some plants that aren't supposed to smell like pot as strong.. well not that skunky ass dank herb smell u get a wiff of when u walk by one but a fruity or pine smell...but I was reluctant to believe they really didn't smell like herb...and if I try growing 20 plants practically in my neighbors backyard and all I can smell is weed from his porch I might get a little flustered and loose my whole crop because I took someone's word on the internet that this particular strain "smells like a pine forest"...my luck even if they do smell like pine I'd get all of the wrong phenos anyways

I got 20 sour diesel at my house that I'm going start cover up on June first there about 20 inch tall in 3 gallon fabric pots just got 15 gallon pots for theme hope to get get at least 6 ounce a plant flower theme out in June and July cover it up for 12 hours a night

im doing the bubblegum now and it never really started smellin until week 6 of flower its week 9 now and ready to pull any day I want to and the bloody thing is stinking my whole property out but it smells fruity or more like lollies but still has that unmistakable weed smell to it which I think every plant will have anyway

Ya have theme in greenhouse I do have couple carbon filters

Wait till u cut it...that's when th stink really hits the fan...iv had plants not really smell..or smell like pure baby shit...but mostly they smell like herb

Depends on the size and quality. ..shit iv seen tiny plants stink like you would believe ...there are a lot of variables....one nice plant can stink like discussed though
