smell questions (+rep)

Hi I have a few q's. my ak47 x lowryder 2 (EZ Ryder) just sprouted (outdoors) and I was wondering how strong this strain would smell. im also going to try 2 do an indoor CFL grow, but my parents will be around so i need a VERY low odor strain (i was thinking northern lights) and mebbe a few odor reduction tips. seeing it isnt a prob, but they might smell it and then find it. also I wanted to know if i can use aluminum foil as a reflective surface in my grow box. i remember reading it can burn tiny little holes in ur plants, is this true? Thanks ya'll

Trust me! All pot stinks. No matter what you grow it will stink up the area.

bro if u worry about your parents its not a good idea ... wait till u get your own place or go outdoors which its to late now to do .. dont grow in your parents house with out there permission..

The tin foil will convert a lot of the light into heat and yes also unevenly distribute the light.

I have never had some problems with tin foil even though many people say it's not good. Also I have heard that ak47 is quite strong in smell. I also agree with the previous statement: you should really not grow pot in your parents house.

Go to home depot and buy the odor absorbing gel on the cleaning aisle it comes in an orange and vanilla scent, i have used it my entire grow and have gone threw 6 they run about 3-4 bucks, also they have a bag of odor absorbing volcanic rock

Grow lots of flowers or something to cover up the smell, but if you still live with your rents then just do outside grows in a park or something and start the clones indoors.

I remember trying to hide a plant from mom and dad... Lets just say it didn't turn out well.

The Eucalyptus plant has a smell they say alters other smells and makes them less detectable.

I agree with the others - make sure it's okay with your parents because it's not fair on them as you could land them in trouble.

You might be surprised by their reaction if you explain to them and keep it low key.

Also, someone mentioned to me that foil is fine if you're using CFL's.

It would be like hiding the shit house floor of a tuna boat.

I have heard a lot of good thing's about ozone generators, you can can get small one's that will do a room 20m square in the ten mins apparently. They use them in hospital's because it take air bourne particles out of the air or is that a ion generator can't remember but they both do the trick. Just becarefull with the ozone gen it can effect you lung's if you buy the wrong size one for the space you are using, go for ion generator.

You can also by air purifiers with HEPA filters in that also work.

All of these do make a small amount of noise, so you will probably get busted one way or another. Grow it at a mates house for half the yield?
