Smell..Should they?

So I have two plants under a 240watt blackstar led (first grow) and they are about 6 weeks into vegg and already have a skunky smell. Should they smell already? I have not even been able to determine sex yet and they are stinky. Has anyone else had plants smell strong before flowering and do males have a pungent odor as well?

Oh yeah dude; they stink badly when they get bushy...that is stain dependent though some is really stinky some not so much.

Vent exhaust outside and it will help quite a bit.

Right on I figured it was strain dependent. Unfortunately I have no way to vent outside, but I do not mind the smell just did not expect it till flowering. They are super healthy and one stinks worse then the other. They are both from bag seed, but the bag came from a clinic and came with a marker that says Hi Pink Widow X Grndy Purp X Trainwreck. Not sure if those are stinky strains or not but this cross is.

My plants are only on week 5, and have had a noticeable odor since about 3 weeks. Or maybe I just have a nose for it. lol. just wait until about 2-3 weeks from harvest.... its gonna get waaaaaaaaaaaaay worse.....or better, depending on how you look at it

that one skunk over powers everything in my veg tent. When you open the tent it literally smells like someone tossed a dead skunk in.

like Agent said, things are gonna get way worse/better. Specially in flower.
