Smells delicious but tastes completely different?

I'm still buying my weed while waiting for mine to grow. The first thing I always do is smell it because usually the nicer it smells the nicer it tastes but recently I've noticed this isn't the case. Got a bag and thought can't wait to smoke it after smelling it and it was such a let down. I don't usually get high anymore don't know if the weed is shite or I'm just smoking too much for too long so taste is important to me. So anyone got any ideas why weed smells yummy but doesn't taste like it when smoking it?

Dont know about yourself. But once one starts to dabble in concentrates, flower all of a sudden seems very underwhelming in effect and taste. I need to top my cones in kief or hash oil to feel that satisfying burn in the lungs.

Then of course theres the dry herb vapes that are full of flavour. I think we're spoilt with choice.
