Smoking BHO out of Speed Pipe?? Cool or Not Cool?

Anyone else do this? It is a bad idea or what?

Unless you believe that BHO is dangerous than I say go for it.

I agree with japan freak.. if its vaporizing the oil, then its no different than any other way of smoking oil..

Unless its bad to smoke OIL directly out of a pipe.. which I'm not 100% certain about oil as I'm not well versed in the subject. The user named Benassi is experienced in oil, you could PM him or wait for him to reply if you REALLY want a definitive answer.

But I don't think its any different than any other method.

It isn't a bad idea, depending on what you are using as said "crack pipe". Hell they even sell "crack pipe" type vapor pipes specifically for BHO and concentrate. If it's the ghetto light bulb vaporizer, I say no... regardless of the cleaning of chems and what not, no. That's disgusting. My opinion though, your body you can harm whatever.



But I must add, it isn't the best way to enjoy your BHO. It always tasted a little off and never hits as well as you'd want it to. But if you go down this road of BHO crack piping I suggest a butane torch to heat your glass. Don't be an actual crack head with a Bic lighter or candle. Use butane, it's cleaner. Wont make black marks all over your glass when you heat up that P-LO!

I recommend this for first time BHO set-ups. As all it is, is a new bowl piece with a stone in it. Just remember to use butane only torches with these stones or they clog.

This guy makes these out of San Diego, CA. Just put the stone in the bowl piece, put oil or concentrate on top, and just apply some heat with a butane torch.

Something like this, un-used and so cheap their practically disposable. No cleaning, just toss and go for a new one. Though I thank you for the information on the healthstone glass, and I will definately be investing in some more effective and efficient way to smoke my BHO. I can't stress enough how helpful this forum is, and this thread was a perfect example...RIU Keep it Up!!!!

That will work too, just use butane torch or lighter.

We definitely recommend using water filtration to cool the smoke down. Torches get so much more hot than a Bic or similar lighter and can be extremely harsh on the throat. Here is a pic of us doing oil rips. Torch the nail in the bowl piece, slide a dome piece over it,then touch another nail with BHO or Earwax to the hot one. Gets you tore up.

i sometimes hit my bho on blades which is i put a kitchen knife in the stove dont worrie it wont electracute u excuse y spellin im baked and do not care haha once its hot my bho is on a pin and i dab it onto the blade being carefull it doesent fall off and just inhale i have this nice glass tube that works quite nicly peace.

Not Cool, but acceptable if you have no alternative besides smoking it on weed...But ick, just smoking all that reclaim in every hit makes it taste like, well, yuck. If you have to smoke BHO out of a speed pipe, buy several and switch frequently, or be ready with the 99% iso to keep that thing clean.

What is considered a "real rig?" a Ti Kurve? an oil dome? The healthstone link doesn't work any more.

Boy, how things have changed...lol...Well, I'll still accept smoking wax out of a speed pipe as an acceptable method, but my preferred method is either a dome w/ quartz nail...and Just recently, I purchased a domeless quartz nail which works quite well. It's a toss up, cause I like added the protection of the dome, but enjoy the fewer steps with the domeless...

Just yesterday, I was at a local dispensary buying some oil (s). And they were advertising the same ” meth pipe” for 10$.. They used worked glass for the ” globe”.

Of course I know my way around one of these damn things.
So, I asked...” Are these really a goad way to smoke oils?”
His reply
” well, do you want to smoke/scorch your oil? Or vaporize your oil?”

As I knew this question was leading to the meth pipe method being one of the only true ways to properly vaporize oils

He said most people that use the nail/dome set up, use it improperly and scorch their oils.
I just happened to run across a newer product at the local HS too..

They now have them as glass on glass attachments for your bong/water pipe/bubbler.
Of course, the neck is curved as to optimize the design of the apparatus..

Seeing the local HS and local dispensaries are ” pushing” these cheaper option pieces, claiming they perform the act of vaporization at a more efficient rate.
Anybody else notice these pieces increasing in popularity lately?
Especially in Colorado?

IMO, not even slightly cool. Those things take me back to a darker time in my life. I would never want to associate them with cannabis or any form of it. To each his own, I suppose...

Wouldn't want to kick that jaw back into play..I would say bad idea... I know this thread is an oldie, but a goodie nonetheless...

Its not "cool", but it is the most efficient vaping method out there.

A quick note: before the tweakers appropriated the vape pipe (ball pipe, globe pipe), it was made to vape DMT in the sixties. As it will vape any pure material easily and DMT is rare, the tweakers blew it up as their pipe of choice when people started smoking meth hardcore in the 80s.

Dont use a torch. Cannabinoids vape at less than 500 degrees, so using a huge heat source like a torch is overkill and leads to scorching. Use a lighter and gently lick the bottom just until vapors appear, and lick the bottom with the flame ever so often just to keep the vapor rolling and you will never get a scorched hit. Also, using a heat gun with a digital control as your heat source will let you vape with 100% efficiency (no scorching or loss)

Ball pipes, when used properly, are the most efficient way to vape. Too bad it makes everyone think youre a tweaker....
