So, these people go some where and confess, then get counseling?
Basically that's it. I spent time counseling in a similar thing, for domestic violence offenders and victims, you see some real life changing shit there. There are also support groups that work on a similar fashion, I did some for people with epilepsy and caretakers. Counseling gets around :eyesmoke:
When I started college I was failing like a motherfucker until I started smoking like a motherfucker. Grades like a boss ever since. The last school year, I went thru 21 clinical profiles in a week, documenting months of psych treatment and evaluation, smoked like an ounce and a half to get it done. I'm doing my masters thesis on political violence and social psychology going over a fuck load of weed. If I don't smoke I don't enjoy studying the human mind and behaviour :dunce:

Academics is not about money, is about learning shit, specially in the 3rd world, degrees are just nice looking on your wall. Not even a phd can guarantee a paycheck. I've made way much more money growing weed than practicing humanities. Having money in the pocket sure feels good, but it's not your main drive when you're in social sciences or humanities. Selling high grade with basically no competition (there's not really a cannabis culture here yet), now that's where the cash comes from.

hmm depends..
i have a specific area of study, i will make probably depending WHERE i work between 60,000$ - 100,000$ per year and i wont have a PhD

besides, we pick these sources of study not for money, to help others it is our calling we choose to work in the field because we want to help others, advocate equality and work to create a better system for everyone. not cause of the money

But when you work nonstop and only bring in 40k it gets old after a couple of years especially if you work in an area with a high cost of living. Its the same as becoming a cop to make a difference but after years you say fuck it cause the system ruins your ambition. Though canada is different from the U.S so idk how your system works.

i respectfully disagree cops become cops because they have a strong sense for criminal justice
I live in canada and my profession you can make a wide range of salaries depending on what specific field you go into

i would rather make 40k working in a desired profession than working at a call center for the same amount.
