Snail mucus

Checking out my plants this morning and I noticed some snail mucus on one of the bud sites and surrounding leaves. I looked all over the plant but was unable to find the culprit. Probably went into the soil would be my guess only to emerge again at night.

Any suggestions?
 
nope havr to either boil or deep fry it.

if you cant find the slug then you dont.havr a problem.. in spring when I plant they are relentless, they attack in numbers and cover you plant in their crap and not their slime...

Good to know. I'm sure I'm being over cautious. Just battled insects and caterpillars. Then I saw this today.
 
many tricks to employ here, like leaving a cup of beer buried up to the tip in soil,

they love the smell and would gladly die drowning in it,

avoid cheap beer they can be smart

or you can spray neem thats also good for molds

Why would cheap beer not work, I drink natural ice, 13.29 a 30 pack and if I let it sit overnight there's all kinds of critters In it
 
slugs do love beer. you can also crush up rocks/glass/eggshells and make a ring in the pot around your plant and they won't cross it.

The volume of malt to hops is higher in quality beers, and its this they are attracted to, but you can always try the cheap brands, just lay more of it!
