I Hate the snow, i really do. I Didn't when i was a kid tho, i loved it! But as an adult i hate it because if it snows a half an inch, we cant get out from here because where i live, the road at the end of our driveway is on a very steep hill with a big ass lake at the bottom. When it's like that, you cant get any speed up at all because when you leave the driveway, you're starting off at a stand steal on a steep hill. You can make it about 16 feet then here you go sliding backwards down the heel towards a big ass lake. When this happens, you have three options. You either pray and hope you can slide back into the driveway, or you hope you put it in the ditch, or bail out and let the car go in the lake.
My mother decided she just needed to go to work today even though she has days built up where she can take off. She lives about 30 mins away from her job, but her job is about 5 miles away from me. Now she's stuck up at work and cant leave because the roads are very bad, the parking lot is like an ice skating rink and she's panicking because she doesn't no how shes going to get home. So i decided to try and go get her some how, but i couldn't make it up the hill and slide backwards into the ditch. I Finally gunned it backwards and made it out the ditch over the bank back into the drive waywhile fucking up my door on my truck.
I Have and an old small front wheel drive car that doesn't have a tag and hasn't been cranked all year, so i'm going to try using that when they battery charges up. If that doesn't work i guess i'm walking five miles to my mothers job and walk her back to my house where she can stay or she's going to have to stay at her job. She should of stayed home today, she hand plenty of warnings that it was going to do this, and she knows the county isn't going to get to these back roads for days or even weeks. The last big snow/ice we had out didn't get dealt with for 2 weeks! Our road was 4 inches of solid ice!!!
