They did actually video customers, vehicles and license plates months ago and showed it to the cops. Nothing happened. It definitely needs to be an election issue. The mayor is a former RCMP officer....

Doing it in front of news cameras in a public hearing will make it impossible to sweep under the rug. Bring up the mayor's previous employment and tie his credibility to the resolution of the problem.

My kid doesn't live there - his buddy does. They have a race car together so are always there working on it. It is a decent middle class neighbourhood - his buddy owns the house next door to the heroin store and he shouldn't have to move. His taxes pay for bylaw and police to deal with dangerous nuisances like this sack of shit. Time they cleaned up the garbage.

Glad to hear your son wasn’t hurt bro and trust me the RCMP do fuck all I had a bunch of crack heads living and dealing out of a house right next to mine. Called the pigs a number of times nothing. They even went as far to poison one of my dogs and smashed my daughters bedroom window out in the middle of the night fighting over a crack debt. They were even using a chip reader plugged into an iPhone so you could pay debt or credit for crack and the pigs couldn’t build a case. Finally these tools come knocking on my door in the middle of the night threatening to beat the shit out of me for calling the pigs. I am not a violent person but I do have slight bipolar tendencies lol let’s just say these two ass clowns got what was coming to them. A uhaul pulled up the next day never seen either around town again. It’s terrible it had to come to that but when the people paid to protect and serve do nothing what’s a guy suppose to do

The mayor (ex-RCMP) made a statement to the media yesterday - and blamed the RCMP...even though he admitted to getting citizen complaints about the drug house. Weasel.

Patrick Hanlon
The Comox Valley RCMP are looking for Patrick Hanlon in connection with the shooting that occurred in Courtenay on May 25, 2018.
Hanlon has been charged with several offences including: Assault with a Weapon and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.
Two witnesses told reporters that shots were fired last Friday night following an altercation between residents of Panorama Crescent around 11:30 p.m.
While no one was injured in the incident, a silver car was struck by at least one of the bullets. Police had the 400 block of Panorama Crescent taped off while they investigated the scene on Saturday.
Hanlon is described as:
• Caucasian
• Brown hair
• Blue eyes
• 55 years old
• 5’7” tall
• 137 pounds
• YinYang tattoo on his right upper arm
Hanlon has appeared in Courtenay provincial court on more than 20 charges, most of which were theft-related.
If you have any information about Hanlon’s whereabouts, contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and refer to file number 2018-6953.
Should anyone see Hanlon, call 9-1-1 immediately and do not approach him as it is believed that he is armed and could be violent.

The MLS listing went up shortly after the incident, calling the property at 475 Panorama Crescent a “handy man (sic) delight.”
RE/MAX Ocean Pacific Realtor Marie Mccooey, who holds the listing along with partner John Hope, said the shooting was a catalyst for the listing.
“She [homeowner] called me first thing Monday morning and said, ‘Let’s get rid of it’… told me what had happened,” said Mccooey. “There’s other things about it, but that [shooting] was probably the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
The listing claims the house to be in “good structural condition,” but says “occupants are boarder line (sic) hoarders so lots of stuff inside and out.”
“The house itself is in good shape,” said Mccooey. “It’s got three bedrooms, two full bathrooms. It’s not a bad house… family room, living room, the whole shebang. It’s just full of stuff right now.”
Mccooey sold the house to the current homeowner approximately seven years ago.
“She just decided it was time. She’s tired of being a landlady,” said Mccooey.
The 1,700-foot rancher is listed at $399,000.
“It only went up [on MLS] yesterday,” said Mccooey on Friday morning. “We had two viewings yesterday, one today, and already four scheduled for Saturday.”
