so... bubble hash...

I've made bubble hash several times over the last few months. It was my understanding that the purer bubble hash will be more blonde in color. Making hash, out of sativa dominant plants, I was able to get a blond color. However, last night, I made some hash out of a very indica dominant plant (papaya... basically mango kush). The hash I'm looking at is dark... 160 micron = dark brown. 73 micron = almost black. 25 micron = black. It still tastes great. It still becomes pliable when heated. It still looks like a polished stone (actually, more like a polished turd because of its color)... and fluffy/grainy when broken up. It still burns perfect and clean... white ash. It still gets me really high.

Is color an indicator of quality? or just of type of hash (as far as indica/sativa)? I'm a little lost (and very high).

My experience (and I'm not a hash master) is that different strains look different and some just make better hash than others....but a dark color doesn't mean that it's not good. I've got some dark hash right now that is quite nice.

does tric color have any final outcome on hash color? I mean if you let the trichs get to mostly amber wouldn't that hash be darken than a hash made form trichs that were mostly cloudy?
