OGC, I hope you are joking. Brother I have know idea what the hell I am doing. I have been combing the net for months, some say do it this way others say that way, meanwhile I am confused all the time. In the first pic of the last set I posted look and the bottom of the pic, I think those two plants are homely looking, but I don't know if its bad or normal.

Well we have been getting a lot of rain here in Southern Michigan. In the beginning I was fighting to raise the humidity, now I am struggling to bring it down. I have a dehumidifier in the tent, just a small $35 job from Amazon, its about the size of a tissue box. It is trying but can't do much seems to be running all the time only taking out a small amount daily. I just went to check on things and the humidity is around 58% and the plants are starting to flower.

I've been planning on getting a bigger unit, so said to hell with it and just bought a 30 pint unit. I am sure this will be enough for my problem. Then I am going to start saving up for a proper humidifier, cause when winter comes I am going to need it.

Things are looking good right now, the plant are flowering nicely, but still have away too go as they are now 29-30 days old. I just unboxed and turned on the new dehumidifier this morning. I am using it to condition the room my tent is in. Its a tad large to fit in the tent, I got it set to 45% (break in says to run 45%-50% for 24 hours) interior of the tent is 48% right now and the plants were just watered. So hopefully this was a positive move.

Which did you go with? I just kicked my first plant into flowering and I keep butting up to 55% during the day - can't seem to stop that number. Doesn't get much higher, and with lights on (I run them at night), it stays where I want it. Looking for a small and inexpensive dehumidifier for a small space...

Im on my first run using CMH. Seems like 18 to 20" is the sweet spot. I love this light. You'll get great results. When it's light to pick up, splash with water. You don't have to water very often at that stage. Once they catch on the veg is amazing with this light.
Can't agree more. Loving my cmh lights. And ya I think 18-20" is the sweet spot too. I just adjust em to 19" and try to keep them there.

Just another quick update. WOW, since the last pictures I posted on this past Monday and now it is Thursday, the growth is really something else to this rookies eyes! The other day I did lower the light a bit more to 16 inches above the pots, will probably raise it up an inch or so tomorrow. Today I did the first pot water, and made sure to let them drain well. I am so afraid of over watering that I was under watering I think. I've been giving them light water but after more reading realized my faults.

Besides all that I think I got a feel for my tent, and the way to operate it. It pretty steady at 73-75 degrees F with light on, 64-66 degrees F lights off. RH 48%-50%. Fan is running at about a 1/4 to 1/3.

I'll post some pics tomorrow, work was hell last night and don't feel like moving right now, just did a quick dab, plus don't want to open the tent anymore today.

Question. I am growing this in FFOF, when should I start adding nutes? From what I understand this soil is hot, just trying to get an idea when I should start considering them?

Thanks in advance.
I see your growing in FFOF. What type of nutes are you gonna use? I've been growing in the same FFOF for 10 months now. I've just been using organic nutes to keep the microbes happy. I just figured I'd try it and it's been working great so far. Kinda a half ass No-Till. I wasn't planning on doing that though or I would of added some more perlite to it first. And ya it's kinda hot, so it shouldn't need anything for the first month, give or take the size of your pot and plant.

I just started using Dyna Gro, the owner of the local grow shop recommended them and the plants seem to be liking it. When I get home in the morning I have to water/feed them I'll take some pictures then. Next grow going to try Coco and Nectar For The Gods.

Don't know anything about Dyna Gro, sounds like they're getting what they need. Pics would be cool though.

I starting using Nector for the gods #4 last grow and really like it. Much better than ffof. That's what I'm going to stick with for a while.

That's what I did on my last grow, and it stretched from 16" to 65". It was a sativa dominant and I've never grown sativa before. I'll top this strain from now on.

Good looking plant Turbobuzz. For the first grow I wanted it as simple as possible, just wanted to watch the plants to their thing.

In my novice opinion a 315w CMH is great. When I got mine I knew nothing one shop wanted to sell me a 1000w HPS/MH set up, and another shop sold me what I currently have. I was mislead by the shop worker telling me one 315w CMH would be enough for my space. Then I found RIU, a learned some things. A couple weeks ago I started looking at 630w CMH and found some really nice fixtures, almost bought one last week. I wanted to look around a bit more.

The other day I was reading a random thread and someone posted some links for LED lighting, curious I took a look. Then I saw a Timber Fatty VS, I am going to think about for a few days, but most likely ordering it next week. I am going to finish this grow with the CMH.

Just a verbal update as when I watered this morning wanted to just it over with, work is getting crazy and feeling it today. Plants are doing good plenty of bud sites, one plant is a lot smaller than the rest, but I have a couple that are really look nice to me anyways. Will get pictures soon. From the time I planted the seeds I have learned sooo much, and I see why people grow these plants certain ways instead of just letting them grow, but its been a fun experience.
