do you use the flowering light or have u got 2 in 1 bulb

it would work better with clones then from seed

Exactly what i said earlier...it will generally take around 3-6wks from seed before it reaches maturity and will show sex and then flower, or around the 7th-ish node

No i use my hps from the get go...If i have room i sometimes throw in another 70w hps for supplemental lighting on the lower bud sites.

Don't waste a good seed the ammount that you would get wouldn't be worth it let the plant veg then flower her.this way you will get a good yeiled tripple of one plant then you would of all your seeds.if you are wanting to try something near to this then take some clones has many that will fit in the grow room that you have get some pots small but not too small take the cutting wait till the roots appear then bang them on 12/12off sea of green i doe this in one room.i sort of have a wave sea of green i have plants at the back that are around 1 ft tall then 2 rows down i have plants harf a foot then harf again untill i end up with a good quantity of plants in the front this way they all get light and i have good harvest the smallest plants give me about 1 and harf ounce the back ones 4/5 ounce.

Well I started this thread becuz of this dilemma. This is all hypothetical of course I want the fastest turn around rate of harvests. Here we go... say that I want to start a grow on June 1st.

I only have seeds... no clones, no mothers. Say I have 24 sites in my room. So I order 40 feminized seeds. Take the best 24 and grow starting from 12/12.
If they are 8-9 weeks flower strains then say I can harvest them in 12-13 weeks. (add on 3-4 weeks of 12/12 "veg time" till they mature)

OR

I could get some seeds, grow some moms and then take cuttings... but I don't know how long that would take to obtain. This is my estimation, correct me if I'm wrong. About 6-8 weeks of veg growth to get mothers to the size they need to be to take 40 clones. Then 2-3 weeks for roots to develop on the clones. And then add 8-9 weeks on top of that for flower.

Growing from seed 12/12 harvests in 12-15 weeks as oppose to 18-20 weeks if I grew moms and cloned then flowered.

Now please agree or disagree with my final thoughts on what I should do. I should get 40 fem seeds > Take the best 30 seeds > Take the best 6 sprouts out of the 30 to use as mothers > Plant the other 24 sprouts and put them on 12/12 > While these 24 are growing, my mothers will also being growing in a separate room > Take cuttings and clone from the mother > By the time they root I will be ready to harvest the original 24 plants... Then the next grow I will have rooted clones to start right away! How does this all sound, thanks for the replies in advance.

what u said bout 30 seeds and using 6 for mothers sounds best - coz u get best of both worlds and ur always have mother to turn to once ur crops done!

sounds good to me murtymaker i think i well go 12/12 on my 5 seedlings harvest them that way i have some smoke and then plant 5 more seeds and let them veg longer and then flower

IT DOES, and they show super fast in as little as 17 days! happy growing friends...

I'm going 12/12 from seed from now on. You will be surprised with what you can end up with. You get 10-20 of these in a space and you'll end up with a decent amount. Experiment with the strains you use. Some shoot up, some stay short and bud. A little tweaking and its a pretty productive method.

and that's why you do 12/12 from seed!!! haha, you da man Rocket, i love it....i also love that i too have 15 ladies goin under an identical light and very similar grow space...i pray to have like results!! if i get close to your shit, i may never go back to regular growing again....
