So, is it possible move your plants indoors and outdoors daily?

I’m a newbie, tryna get some real answers here.
I haven’t got a grow tent, but I have got grow lights … I stay in a volatile area with weird weather.. inconsistent humidity levels and just not enough direct sunlight.. I don’t want to attempt a full grow indoors since I lack the grow tent and all its gadgets.

So I want to grow outdoors in potplants, and at night bring it inside to avoid bad weather and storms. I want to put Them under a grow light for 10 hours per night, and then move them back upstairs to fresh air and natural sun light.

will this be possible?
Will it not be a good idea ?

I will keep a fan on them at night with grow lights and move them back onto my balcony in the morning all day, they will get about 4-5 hours direct sunlight and 6-7 hours indirect sunlight in the day. and 12 hours under a grow light at night.

will this consistent movement be okay ?
will the changes in temp and humidity affect them ?
will the change from artificial lighting and natural light cause problems ?
They are all auto flowers .. ( I haven’t planted them yet) getting ideas for the future.
Can I get some advice from y’all ?
Bad idea to give them a mixed life of indoor and outdoor daily.. ?


My reason for not wanting them to stay indoors is because I haven’t got all the gadgets and don’t plan to keep them indoors, for a couple reasons.

I see the only things online is the pest concern problem, I don’t have a pest problem and I have bug spray to keep bugs off my other (non weed) plants.

what do you think besides the pest problem, would the daily movement of indoor and outdoor be a problem for the plants

I don’t use bug spray near any of my plants, weed or garden
But I’m not smoking your product

I dont see a problem with moving it around,I have an outdoor plant in a pot that never sits long in the same spot.Its a photo I assume you have an auto?

I’m about to plant 6 autos, 3 Indicas 3 sativas

I assume that they will do just fine, with some indoor light and outdoor love now and again.

Maybe a little shock from direct sun,so I wouldn't take it from shade to the hottest part of the day.Try to plan so the direct sun starts earlier in the day.

It will get indirect sunlight from 8:30 AM to about 1:30 pm, then direct sunlight from 1:30 - 5:30

then I plan on moving them down to grow lights, for a 10-12 hour indoor sesh.
The humidity is pretty high here, peaking around 75-90 %, I’m hoping the fans at night will help with this, and the fresh windy air in the day.. all the movement too I guess could help a bit too.

do you think a de humidifier for the night sessions could be a good idea ?

They will get a shady break period from 5:30 to 7pm

I've been moving 3 plants outside on nice days and leaving them in the tent during not nice ones. I wrapped yarn around them to keep the stalks from moving too much when they get moved. It's a little tricky to get them through doors, and I'm careful to not move too fast or tilt the plants.

So far it's working.

Those autos? How much sunlight do they get or is it just random?
What was your incentive to move ‘em too

These are regular seed. Front one is largely AK47 and is stinky. 2 shorter plants behind are Pineapple Poundcake. They are 4-5 weeks in flower now. The picture below is Pineapple Poundcake which is showing some purple in the pistils which isn't listed as part of the genetics.

I wait until it warms up a bit to get them out usually around 8 in the morning. I bring them in by 3 and put them in autopots where they get water until the next morning. They have led light, fans and are in a 4x4 tent. At night I pump air into the tent with a duct from a carbon fan and air is exhausted through a vent. Otherwise it gets too humid. If it's bad weather they stay in.

Incentive to move them is to use sunlight when I can. The plants like it just fine, even if there are insects (which I haven't had issues with yet).

Moving plant outside and back inside is just an all around bad idea. Beside the obvious of bringing pests indoors, you're looking at constantly and vastly changing the plants environment. If you're looking to stress a plant, that's a good way to do it.
