Greetings friends!
Check on all of the following:
x New here
x About to start my first grow
x Been lurking but not very long
x Newbie in general
So, having read up a bit on cannabis in general, CBD and what not I decided it was time to take the jump to first of all see what it can do to help my depression and general bad feelings inside myself for quite some time now. Have some memories how a smoke changed my mood over night some years ago. Since I'm in Scandinavia and "don't have the right contacts" just trying different varieties isn't that easily done.
Also, having yet another man dying of cancer, even if not in my immediate family, I wanted to prepare for the future so the Rick Simpson option would be more available would it be needed once more and I had a say in it.
Sorry for this long winded intro, here's the deal: I went on a shipping spree here around Christmas since many seed shops had all kinds of deals and season specials. So including some freebies (which are all interesting to me) I'm now, or at least soon hope to be, sitting on no less than 14 different strains, all but one of the autoflower version also (the exception is the low THC Dinamed). Yes, if I could undo some of them but... It is what it is.
I have a Mars 3x3' (or 98x98cm) grow tent where it's all supposed to take place eventually, cheered on by a yet unassembled DIY cob-kit featuring 4 Vero 29C's and a HG-320. So yes, not crazy much light but this thing has run away in expenses in anyway (about 350 Euros just for the lights from Kingbrite, incl. customs - shipping is a killer!).
So again, the seeds were rather cheap and I have mainly 1 or 2 of each (some are 3 from Dinafem), and I wan't to sample as many of them as possible in my first grow. I don't care very much about optimum yields, I just want to find the strains I feel work the best for me, in one way or another. I have 3 and 5 gallon smartpots on their way (cheap China versions from ebay) but could grow in other smaller things too of course.
So... ( )
One option is to grow 9 seeds in 9 x 3 gallon pots. But that will leave out 5 strains...
Another crazy idea I got last night was to grow most of them in pairs in the 5 gallon pots, so two (different) seeds would share one pot and be sort of on one half of the pot each. Then I would have room to grow 2 Dinamed's (who are photo's) in two separate pots and keep them going after the others (who are autos) are finished.
So I guess this was the long-winded road, plus a first hello, to come to the last two lines there. Too dumb?
Any thoughts are of course greatly appreciated.
Wishing everyone a great start to the new year!
Cheers!
/Tom
