I used pre98 bubba...did a extract :) hot water purged for butane for about 20 mins

Then put the pyrex dish on top of a small pan of boiling water that was on a low boil... whipped the bho... after 5 min the bho solidified

with heat it returns to oil form...tastes good too

na.. I just used about 1/2 oz of bubba that was ground up in a coffee grinder... stuck that in the freezer for about 2 hours before extraction :)

.... I dried the nugs crunchy dry in a paper bag for about 2 weeks prior

Bought a extractor off ebay and a case of vector:) one can per run

My next adventure is vac purgin I wanna make some honeycomb

thank you...do you think that all the butane evaporated?

all the moisture is gone :) Very easy to handle ..no bubbles in the vape

hard tell, i have never thought whipping was an effective means of getting something completely purged. in fact it actually breaks down terpenes

yeah whipping isnt the best way to do it.

the reason its foggy and pasty looking is because there is tens of thousands of tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny bubbles. air spaces if you will... kinda like looking at a sponge.

now when you heat it.. it melts it, turns it into a liquid, and all those bubbles go away, and it turns it into an amber colored like sap.

either way, that oil looks nice.

if you dont have a vacuum, I always let my dish with oil sit in a hot water dish from 6-24 hours just to be sure ;)

Also known as Budder, which was more popular before vacuum finished waxes.

At 20 minutes purge, you may be below your own sensory threshold, but you still have retained butane. If you don't believe it, put it in a -29.5" Hg vacuum at 115F and watch the solvent bubbles escape.

Even at 115F and -29.5" Hg, it still takes 30 to 45 minutes for a full purge.

thanks for the input

20 min purge with hot tap water ( the pyrex and bho sittin in hot water)...

then the pyrex went over boiling hot water in a pan until solidified about 5 more mins...

don't know what the temp was my guess about 180-200... thats why I think all the butane evaporated

yeah it needs more than 25 minutes on hot water... more like 6+ hours at least.

also, 200 is too hot. boiling water is 212F I think... so you only want it half boiling. around 100F. thats about as hot as your sink can possibly get... plus a few more degrees, and remember it cools fast, thats about how hot you would want the water.
