So for my next batch I need to add sul po mag, the clays, azomite, glacial dust, gypsum, the other than that have it covered. Did you decide against the shovel of dirt from your yard rrog?
So I have barley seeds, but am having a hard time getting them to sprout. After the initial rinse should I keep them in the jar with water covering them, rinsing every 8-12 hours, or let them sit in the open air rinsing every 8-12 hours and keeping dry in between? The seeds are good, I threw some in some soil after I couldn't get them to sprout and I had grass days later.Maybe get some barley seeds while you're there. Sprout them. Use the sprout water and see what happens...
I do all that. I just have a hard time actually getting them to "sprout" the quarter to half inch long tail that we're looking for to soak them for the 48 hour soak. I'll keep messin with them.2 tablespoons of seeds (1 oz.)
Soak for 12 hours. Drain that water and throw away. It’s full of growth inhibitors.
Add 1/2 gallon of water to the sprouts for the 48 hour soak.
Strain and use 1 cup of this to 1 gallon of water.
I can get chunky perlite no prob. I'll pry a little more at some of the nurseries. Can you get the larger horticultural variety of perlite? You also could likely special order some, as these nurseries all receive product from a distributor.
