This is how Uncle Ben recommends doing it, which I have done several times with good success...How do you guys handle root bound plants when upcanning before flowering? I am going from 1 gallon to 3 and 5 gallon buckets. The plants are pretty rootbound. Damn fungus and bacteria.
Yes. It opens up the root ball and seems to encourage new root growth. I was hesitant to do it the first time too. Give it a whirl ..... it works well!Thanks st0w. It feels weird to cut the roots. Have you ever done this?
