So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

Basically two types of soil growers. Those that mix the soil each time, then grow then throw the soil out... Grow and Throw isn't the waytago.

Second camp are those that re-use the soil. You might read about ROLS, which is a recycled soil. Use the same soil over and over. Just some minor amendments as you go. This is not only the best soil route but the cheapest.

This recycled soil does better in a larger pot 18" wide x 13" tall = a 15 gallon Geopot. That's the cat's ass. Can you accommodate containers that size?

15 gal might be a bit big for me. I can always try it out though. I flower in a 4x4 tent. Ill give it a whirl. Do you possibly know if the amendments you mention in your post are carried anywhere locally? Im located in southeast MI and im not sure of your location. Anyone else know?

So my cow poo soup is being transferred to gallon jugs, wow this stuff is powerful , turned one of my moms yellow.
Guess my new mix should be much, much weaker.

The question is why does this reek of sulphate?

Definitely on board. I live on the ocean so I will source all kelp, oyster, crab, & fish (salmon) from her, thus saving more money and getting best quality. Thanks Rrog.

I'm in SE Michigan too. I can give you a hand sourcing most of the stuff you'll need. Some of it (neem seed meal, crab shell meal, etc) will have to be ordered on line. A lot of it you can find locally though.

Be careful with that, i was kicked off a beach for gathering kelp, the people in cali are nuts, the stuff can wash up and dry up, but no one can take it, they said the birds eat it. Same state they blocked off 900 acres for killdeers to lay eggs, 6 total nest for a nonnative species , this place is a chuckle a minute. Im thinking about moving to Michigan ,its only one state away from where i came from, California is NOT the place for me, place is loaded with subhuman backbiters.

I am on a very small Island. I don't have pesky dick heads telling me my business here. Its very nice, you all should try it sometime. But don't, cause I like to be alone. heheh

Right on brother , i could only wish. The economy here is so bad people have turned on each other. I dont miss the heat and humidity , but the cold never bothered me, i mostly worked on big stuff up to 60mil steam boilers and chillers so i was almost always in a comfy mechanical room.

I took it out of its stew container and put it in jugs, this stuff is going to go a long way in the future.
Just pulled my very first so Sat we will be remixing to add everything else i wanted and reuse , everything came out nice , just huge and it took a little longer.
Im going to try and keep the plants much smaller this time and just grow medicine without the extra 4 feet of plant, i cant see over these things.

I think that mix will putrify if stored. My guess. It'll go anaerobic like fattie said and turn... foul.

I missed this... sorry, but wasn't the manure really old or something? You don't want to risk me potential chemicals in it?
