So who is the GOP nominee that is going to take back the White House for republicans?

Heads Up

It's obvious the base of the republican party does not want Romney as their nominee, it's also becoming painfully clear the powers that be in the GOP do not want Gingrich as their nominee. One or the other is going to be the nominee. With a lukewarm candidate just like Senator McCain was last presidential election, is there any hope one or the other can convince enough independent voters to regain the White House?

Depends on jobs and the economy... Unemployment is going down but it has a LONG way to go to get all of those people who stopped looking for jobs employed.

If things are better near November Obama might just win re-election.

Just need to tell all of our family members and friends to vote for Ron Paul...if they are democrats tell them to switch parties as the majority of "democrats" are actually republicans when you think about it...the "Democrats" just lied their way into peoples hearts when they are all about more government regulation and more taxation where republicans are for smaller government, less taxes, etc... :D

the republican base DOES want Romney. Independents want Ron Paul.

Politics doesnt want Ron Paul... But he is legitimately the only one who has the voters to beat Obama..

But he doesnt got the cash or the backing.

He is skipping florida cause it is too expensive for him... LOL!!! How can he possibly stack up against Obama and his billion dollar campaign fund?

Hey he stands a better chance only because of the Voters he gets.. Founded in belief and thats appealing to a wide base... Nobody but him could take some of the Obama base, in my opinion. And nobody else in the gop has got absolutely anything on Obama.

Your OPINION is not shared by many people apparently.

Dude.. ron paul is known for his fund raising power. He is skipping Florida because they barely have any delegates (They were penalized half) and he doesn't hold a large portion of support. He is being very smart for going for Nevada and Minnesota where he holds a lot of support.

Really? He is? How much cash does his campaign have on hand right now?

he is skipping florida because its winner take all delegates and he is going for delegates. Ron Paul has set records in fundraising and he raises a million dollars or more every week from private parties like its nothing. Dr Paul has raised 9-12 million in only 24 hours on many occasions.

that's even though republicans have been working hard to ensure the economy is in the shit to try and win the white house...

Unless the economy gets worse, there isn't a candidate in the race that will be able to beat Obama. The candidates the republicans have chosen aren't sufficiently appealing to be able to beat Obama on merit alone. All of them have fatal flaws. This election will be about how the economy is doing. If the economy gets worse, then Obama will lose regardless of his opponent. If the economy continues to improve, Obama will win regardless of opponent.
