Whats up man? To my knowledge it was probably the strain or cool temperatures that was introduce to the grow room that changed the pigment to purple. What's the name of the strain and what are the temps that you have in the grow area? Your intake might be bringing in cold air.

That is actually pretty beautiful. Do you think it hurt your yield? is the different taste a bad taste? I would be happy to come across a bud like that. I switched my light to run overnight to help with night time winter temps, maybe you could?

look up plant senesce . the simple truth is not all coloration is connected to temp MOST is connected to pheotype expression . answred your question yourself by stating that the buds where let go longer indoors . i have grown a few (8-10) og kush type crosses (fire, goast, ect..) that turn a brillnt shade of purp with time only . usally at 9-10 weeks.

that aside . nice job and way to have the forsight to take a few cuts.. is the taste nice??

You already answered it. It's the low temps!

I thought you said the outdoor plant (in cold weather) was green and the indoor plant, which you let flower longer, turned purple.

Temperature affects nutrient availability; phosphorous becomes locked out at cooler temperatures, below 50* F.
Environment will factor into into how the finished product turns out, even amongst clones.
