Noticed these weird wet slime looking marks (almost looks like bird poop or dead worms), is this Thrip damage? I know I saw 1 on there a few days ago, but not positive. Any info is appreciated.

I had some thrips earlier and the damage looked like a straight line of silver/gray color, but these are all twisted around. I've not encountered leaf miners-I'll try to take a look into those. I don't think mites, but not positive. If this is thrip damage, can they kill the plant or do they just damage the growth/strength of the plant? Basically I don't want these fuckers to kill my plant before harvest, are they capable of this?

Yes!! 100% leaf miners-looked them up and it's the exact same problem, luckily I've only noticed 1 leaf with a munch in it so hopefully it's not caterpillars/moths at least. One of the suggestions mentions removing affected leaves, is this a terrible thing to do? ive got an insecticidal soap-I'll try that tonight and if no positive difference I'll either try this other pesticide the site recommended/cutting

I'll stick with removal than to play it safe. Just to make sure I'm 100% on this, but I only cut just beyond the damaged area, correct? For example: finger 3 has damage at the tip, just cut there?
Thanks for your input/assistance with this.

take the whole leaf off unless your going to spray it with spinosad and or some PGR`s then you may need the leaf

Really hope there is some truth in the; pruning to stress the plant into growing better theory. After cutting away the leaf miners she's left kinda sparce-majority of old growth had to be removed. This is either a problem I hadn't noticed as a problem or something I had misdiagnosed, have had recurring bug issues this summer, but I hope she's not too shocked.

fortunately thrips are one of the easiest pest to get rid of ... i find that they introduced into your garden in larval or egg stages in coco and soil mixes. However you are not doomed . thrip larva can be seen on the undersides of leaves , in this stage they are basically worms as they eat your plant the excrete a slimy looking liquid that dries shiny on your leaves. slime trails , i have found the most effective products are spinosad and a new product called MBV2.. I sprayed with both of these products and after a few sprayings no more thrips. be adamant and follow up and you will beat them no problem
