So...you can't transplant Autos?

it's not a myth, it all depends on how proficient you are at re-potting. some people aren't good at it, and stress their root system. those people should not only not repot autos, they shouldn't repot petunias.
if you take care and don't damage your root system, it shouldn't cost you more than a day or twos growth.

I find this to be true. About 1 to 2 days of no growth but that's it.

Or you could just start them in their final pot... No need for transplanting then!!!

I used to be a carpenter but now I sit in an office all day and sell dust collection equipment to the military. I'm always looking for an excuse to break out the tools, so I built a 10' x 6' x 9' plywood grow room in my garage, with intake and carbon exhaust, as well as being completely climate controlled, and with enough lighting to grow 6 times what I am growing now. Definitely way overkill but it gives me plenty of room which is really nice. I bought a grow tent once but I returned it. Too pokey for me.
 
It's been very interesting reading the posts in this thread regarding transplanting autoflowers. I have transplanted auto's before, but have mostly start auto's in their final pots.

Gone with 4 gallon smart pots from go this time.

For me, the only reason why I think transplanting has a major advantage is you can grow a few extra, take the strongest 4 or whatever number you need. Several times I have started auto's in their final pots, 4 in each tent and only 3 germinated. That's a royal pain in the arse! As you end up with 1 plant 4 days behind the others and it usually got swallowed under a otherwise level canopy.

So now I have 2 litre / about 1/2 gallon smart pots for next time. So I'm going to grow a bunch of them, give them 7-10 days in the small smart pots, then just plant little smart pot in to a bigger smart pot. I think that would be a great way of not stressing it out, whilst getting the benefits of some early air pruning.

A tent can never compare to what you have... it would be a step backwards...y you got pics of the room that I can see???

I don't no know what transplant shock is. (I do, but never had it happen to moi)

You did it right, no shock and no slowed of growth.

Autos are tricky, most won't care what you do to them as long as it done during veg; some will hate you later for it.

Looking great so far, keep it up!
