Since I was 12 years old yo. Just under 40 now. Luckily I'm the one in the blue collar doing the pointing and overseeing instead of the loading and sweating. My daughter (5) says when she's 16, she's gonna do my work for me (I'm training her early), and "daddy can just kick back". Loving it!
I have multiple journey cards so, usually the boss and I are rubbing elbows. I say, give me my work boss, he says here u go, and I'm off doing my own thing getting stuff hammered out. Running crews is pretty stressful as I've done it before, sometimes you really can't trust people to do things right, so, if you want things done right, gotta do them yourself. That's why I like working solo or with an apprentice and not much more.
