So, you think it's safe to post pics of your marjuana grows ?

I mean dudeyou're basically asking us to be hyper paranoid.

we're either going to post pics or we're not. if we do we assume they have bigger fish to fry (they do and they always will.)

I really don't think we're /ever/ going to see a time where the government goes on RIU to raid growers of 12 plants or less.... they want people who are going big; they simply don't have the /time/ to try to take on all the legit medical growers in california, colorado, oregon, etc...

so seriously you are being very paranoid... you can call us idiots for posting shit online but the fact is, there are hundreds of thousands of us, and many of us are too small for the government to give the slightest /shit/ about what we're doing.
Did you ever know of a big grow site called 'overgrow.com'. ask some of the oldtimers what happened there, you may rethink

nah I've heard all about that.

and you are consistently proving you want to start a paranoia party.

the shit with overgrow happened /years/ ago. we're in a depression now, even if the government wanted to it couldn't pull off the raids to the extent it did with overgrow now.

there really is no money to do such antics anymore, thus the government is hyper-focusing on the big guys not the small growers.

but you can pull up all these small examples that essentially mean nothing to the bulk of us and try to say we should all hide under a rock.

it's all good, if you want to post pics, then do so. but i never have and never will, people mostly just post them to brag anyway.

well I post them to share my work, I do one outdoor once a year... and I put my heart and soul into it... I think it would be a shame if nobody could see the pics online.

but eh if things got /really/ shady I'd take them off in an instant... I just don't think things are /that/ bad right now so I feel that it wont hurt me to share a few pics from this years outdoor here and there...

I mean if we let the government scare us into not sharing our pics... isn't that essentially letting them win?

are people going insane or something? past few days I've seen a jump in the posts that don't make any coherent sense...

it's always a risk oif being raided by the feds if you post pics... but I don't know wtf is going on in your head man.

hey that troll attitude just makes me laugh nowadays. if my intelligence was weighed out on how idiots like you /perceive/ me I would be a simpleton retard dumbass.

but guess what it doesn't work like that,I can talk as much as I want about what I feel like and just because you see my post as stupid doesn't mean you have any say in what I post. I hope you feel better now that you've expressed your /opinion/.

Care to back that cell phone comment up with any facts? sources? tin hat?

if i grew, there would be no way in hell i would post pics, it was a 'hidden' program inside their computer. just because the computer isn't in your grow room doesn't mean you are safe posting pics. they can now listen , thru your cell phone, to any conversation that you have, even when you shut it off. time to wake up folks, your rights are being violated and noone seems to care.

they can drive by and scan your cell phone, know where you've been and who your contacts are.

not good at posting a link, but if you go to youtube.com and put in 'alex jones cell phone scanning' you will get a report of the way the police are scanning your phones, even as you drive by. if you want a different perspective on the way the US government is run go to alex jones website

they can scan my phone all they want. they can never introduce it as evidence or use it to get a judge to sign a warrant unless they suspect terrorism. viva la 4th amendment (for now, anyway). anyone with half a brain regularly deletes messages and history and whatnot on their phone, so if there is something to be "found out" that's on the individual. about the spy thing, i've been paranoid about that since webcams came out. i own my computer outright and i still have a peice of duct tape over the lens and the mic disabled. overkill? maybe. anyone doing anything sketchy on a machine they don't own is asking for trouble.

I'd say putting it on the web so thousands of people can see is safer than telling a single person that knows where you live. Because even though anybody can follow your grow they will never know who you are or where you live unless you let out that kind of info. Its a great way to stay stealth but still get help from a lot of experienced growers.

I'd feel pretty damn safe posting photos of me murdering someone, as long as there is no identifying items to be found in the photos, and I stripped it of metadata.

What exactly happened to Overgrow? I know they got shutdown, but what are the details?

The last time I posted at that site was in 2000/2001. (i think).

they can pull up info even if it's been deleted

yeah you notice how you have to type in your root password before you can make any major changes to your computer?

that is the root of linux's security. a virus can't track your keystrokes or download your files without knowing your individualized root password, the more secure you are with this pass (as in its complicated and you only use /this/ pass as your root password and nothing else (no other internet accounts, etc.)

so yeah I'd say using ubuntu you're very safe as far as someone hacking up your computer, but it doesn't make you any safer if you're already posting your pics online and some government guy downloads it and finds the location within such pics.
yeah i gotcha, never completely safe, i heard something like linux is the shit for that.

What's wrong with being paranoid? It keeps you on your ps and qs. When you start getting comfortable like that you start slippin. Remember just because your paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

It's common knowledge nowadays that all our information is accessible if required, the thing is determining whether it's required. Just because there are satellites that can take pictures of your license plate from space doesn't mean they will use it to pull people over for traffic violations, get my drift. Also what you resist, persists. Focus on making you're life better and doing what the fuck you want 100% of the time. Let the bullshit sort itself out, it always has.
